a fantastic fairytale place, a jungle in the middle of a desert area! The whole area is drowning in greenery, there was a papaya tree with fruits near our room, there are also a lot of fruit trees in the area, from which the hosts prepare breakfasts and fantastic smoothies, please try their mango smoothie, it's fantastic! the view from our terrace was amazing! The breakfasts and cuisine are unsurpassed!

This is a breathtaking jewel that is tended to by a passionate gentleman who puts his heart into the restauration of the pieces and does everything himself. It threw me off on how much love and work went to this amazing marvel of a house and it's still ongoing. The owner is also amazingly helpful and knowledgeable. The service is brilliant and the breakfast just mirrors the style of the house - I loved EVERYTHING. The house is amazing and I couldn't complain about anything. I will for sure visit again

The little house is tastefully decorated and despite the size it's really quite comfortable. The owner Miguel and his dad Jose are very friendly and welcoming, they definitely made us feel at home (Jose showed us everything in the garden and even let us try some fresh fruit!). Next time we come to Tenerife, we will gladly stay in La Pajara / Guimar again, but perhaps this time in the other house that belongs to Miguel and is in a real/natural cave - the one we stayed in (right next to the "casa cueva") is a little more "standard" ;)

The apartment is really cozy and comfy — it felt really nice to stay there. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, including fast wifi and a well-stocked kitchen (with a coffee machine, which we especially appreciated ☕😊). And one of the highlights was the kitchen’s direct view of a beautiful garden filled with mango and avocado😍The owners were fantastic — very open, friendly, and helpful, offering tips and local recommendations that made our stay even better. It’s also a great base for sightseeing - easy access to both the north and south of the island. Highly recommended!!

Staff were fantastic, food was delicious, lovely, friendly atmosphere. Lots for families if you want it e.g. activities, entertainment, but also easy to find a quiet spot and not a very touristy location so a short walk from the hotel you're at the beachfront with local restaurants and cafés.

The location is at the top of a steep hill which will test...

The location is at the top of a steep hill which will test one's driving skills (and the vehicle itself). If coming from Tenerife South airport, don't take the shortest route as that also takes you up a street where 2 cars can rarely fit. The host was excellent and offered a complementery bubbly for our birthdays - a great touch! Also offered to help with recommendations - sadly we couldn't make use of them as we had limited time and quite specific activities in mind already. All in all - can definitely recommend, if only for a night or two - be mindful of the lack of heating (there's a dehumidifier but that doesn't help as much), especially in winter (extra blanket did help a lot!).

We were surprised to find the Garden of Pyramids also...

We were surprised to find the Garden of Pyramids also hosting a number of other exhibitions including information about Thor Heyerdahl. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to visit everything on offer but what we did see was interesting but poorly described. There is also am Aloe Vera museum just outside Güimar.

A lovely little town with many cafes and restaurants, people were very friendly and there were lots of little cafes and bars. The main square is a popular meeting place in the early evening and there is an excellent Sunday market.

This place is ideal if you want to get away from the main tourist crowds and aren't necessarily looking for a beach holiday. We often found ourselves visiting restaurants and cafes frequented mainly by locals or Spanish tourists, which we really enjoyed.

Bathroom hygiene left much to be desired: cockroaches. Their host's reactivity to them is extremely low, especially now that it turns out the cockroaches have also laid eggs in our clothes and suitcases, and now we also have cockroaches in our own homes that need to be exterminated.

We were in El Puertito de Guimar – a small town right on the ocean with a fine-pebble beach and several delicious restaurants. No tourists, mostly just locals. No discos, quiet and peaceful. Not a single souvenir shop. All of this was a huge plus for us.

What a hidden gem. Near to Guimar piramides. Peaceful location with wonderful gardens and beautiful restaurant with an amazing chef. Smoked baked cheescake with sorbert is a mind blowing desert. Selection of the dishes very good and food itself incredble. You must try Guimar wines!

When we arrived to the hotel 15:30 (check in is from 15:00) - they told us that they had to cancel our booking, because one of their guests from the night before had a cancelled flight, and therefor had to stay one night more. ( they send us message by sms 15:20)

Extremely authentic hotel. Thoughtful design, super pleasant service and surrounding area. The only point is the roosters that start crowing at 5 am) but if you don't have a sensitive sleep - I recommend it, you won't regret it
