Lifetime experience! For us it was exceptional in all the ways. House is a museum, Mario (owner) is exceptional. We were on Sunday and had live music and performance. Host makes you feel like a friend. Just amazing. Though this could be not for everyone.

The little house is tastefully decorated and despite the size it's really quite comfortable. The owner Miguel and his dad Jose are very friendly and welcoming, they definitely made us feel at home (Jose showed us everything in the garden and even let us try some fresh fruit!). Next time we come to Tenerife, we will gladly stay in La Pajara / Guimar again, but perhaps this time in the other house that belongs to Miguel and is in a real/natural cave - the one we stayed in (right next to the "casa cueva") is a little more "standard" ;)

The apartment is really cozy and comfy — it felt really nice to stay there. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, including fast wifi and a well-stocked kitchen (with a coffee machine, which we especially appreciated ☕😊). And one of the highlights was the kitchen’s direct view of a beautiful garden filled with mango and avocado😍The owners were fantastic — very open, friendly, and helpful, offering tips and local recommendations that made our stay even better. It’s also a great base for sightseeing - easy access to both the north and south of the island. Highly recommended!!

P. and his wife (and their dog) are wonderful kindly hosts. We had a great (too short) time at their casa, surrounded by various trees (orange, banana, olives,..), vineyard, birds and an all in all peaceful atmosphere as well as very interesting conversations with them. They also gave us good insider-tips concerning where to go etc. Everytime again!

The location is at the top of a steep hill which will test...

The location is at the top of a steep hill which will test one's driving skills (and the vehicle itself). If coming from Tenerife South airport, don't take the shortest route as that also takes you up a street where 2 cars can rarely fit. The host was excellent and offered a complementery bubbly for our birthdays - a great touch! Also offered to help with recommendations - sadly we couldn't make use of them as we had limited time and quite specific activities in mind already. All in all - can definitely recommend, if only for a night or two - be mindful of the lack of heating (there's a dehumidifier but that doesn't help as much), especially in winter (extra blanket did help a lot!).

We were surprised to find the Garden of Pyramids also...

We were surprised to find the Garden of Pyramids also hosting a number of other exhibitions including information about Thor Heyerdahl. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to visit everything on offer but what we did see was interesting but poorly described. There is also am Aloe Vera museum just outside Güimar.

A lovely little town with many cafes and restaurants, people...

A lovely little town with many cafes and restaurants, people were very friendly and there were lots of little cafes and bars. The main square is a popular meeting place in the early evening and there is an excellent Sunday market.

The outside area for cooking is brilliant. Kids loved the amount of toys they've found. As you leave the house , 300m down the road there is a football pitch and basketball court and about 5 mins driving , there is El Escobonal Park where you can exercise with your kids. Stunning views aswell. You need a car to drive around , but that's something that I would recommend anyway , unless you stay at a hotel near the beach. We were 35 mins away from Playa del Duque and 40 mins away from Las Teresitas, so just right.

Beautiful, cosy hotel with a friendly and welcoming owner. Bedrooms are clean, spacious, and equipped with everything you need (shampoo, shower gel, towels, hairdryer etc.). Would highly recommend breakfast on the patio as it was absolutely delicious and such a perfect way to start the day. Excellent location with lots to do, well connected by a 10 minute bus to the beach.
