A Barcelona Suburb Taking Off
El Prat de Llobregat is a name familiar to all those arriving in Barcelona by air, as it’s the site of Barcelona Airport. The thousands of passengers who take advantage of cheap flights from low cost airlines and international carriers pass through one of Europe’s busiest passenger terminals.
Many head straight for the Catalan capital via the on-site train station and end up missing the attractions of El Prat de Llobregat itself. A golf club covers the narrow strip of land between the airport and the sandy, Mediterranean beach which extends all the way to Castelldefels in one direction, and the mouth of the Llobregat River in the other. There is also a nature reserve which offers views towards Montjuic hill.
Also set by the river in the foothills of mountains is Sant Boi de Llobregat, whose skyline is dominated by the belltower of its simple church. It is connected by train and underground to central Barcelona, as is Hospitalet de Llobregat, where the historic centre buildings contrast with innovative skyscrapers. The most notable structure of Cornellà de Llobregat is the Miranda Tower which is beautifully lit at night.

Excellent, comfy room, good bar and restaurant food and service was also excellent. Hotel transfer bus was easy to find (and needed) as the hotel was quite far away from the airport (less noise). Only one night but would definitely use again and recommend to a friend.

Excellent location, 10 minutes from/to the airport by Metro, absolutely clean, spacious and well equipped. We visit this place regularly when we go to Spain, and staff was always kind and helpful, excellent service, good breakfast, we never had any objection. It costs more than AirBnB (not a lot more), but it should be known that the hotel is oriented towards ecology, optimizing the usage of resources (especially water), using the energy of the sun, and with all that in mind - guests still have maximum comfort and everything they need. The hotel is owned by a non-profit organization, employs a lot of people, and we always choose to help them by choosing them as hosts for our stays in Barcelona, rather than go for the cheapest option.

Extremely comfortable beds and pillows, Pristine room with everything needed, Free shuttle was very much appreciated. Even though the hotel is only 10 minutes to airport, the surrounding area not very appealing.

Lovely fresh space, great breakfast. Lovely clean spacious room with all the amenities you could want. Staff are very friendly and helpful all spoke excellent English which made up for my embarrassing lack of Spanish. Very nice facilities, very clean, nice room. Room rates a bit too expensive. Not easy to get too, about 15 min drive to Terminal 1 in the free shuttle bus. Bar and food prices very high compared to regular restaurants and bars but they have you as a captive audience with no alternatives near by!

A little suburban area near Barcelona and very close to the airport. There is a metro which connects it with both so it's ideally located and the accomodation is much cheaper than in the city. However parking is a real challange.RobertHungary

The shuttle bus pi was great with both pick up on our arrival and drop off at the airport for our continuing flight. the location close to the airport was crucial for this. The staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. I highly recommend this hotel for transitioning through Barcelona. However it is a distance from the city for those wanting to stay for a length of time and wanting to explore Barcelona.
