Was very shocked by how beautiful this hotel was. Pictures don’t even do it justice. The staff were super friendly with my dogs and the check in process was super quick. Came in with a camper van and yet the parking they had was very spacious and just so convenient. Located in the best neighbourhood in San Sebastián restaurants near by and just great for a couple of days and even more. Will be returning for sure !

We have stayed at Arbasso before and the superior room we booked was just perfect (room 304) It is a corner room with one balcony with view on the cathedral and another covered balcony with view on the street. The decoration of the hotel is exquisite, there is immediately a calming atmosphere.

There was literally nothing we were missing or anything we would change. We got a room upgrade for free (thanks again!), the view is phenomenal! The rooms are spacious, modern, great style and very clean. Beds are comfortable, big smart TV, great wi-fi, awesome bathroom & shower! Worth every money we spent! If you’re looking for a great please to stay, you found it! Also great location. Beach, Old Town, Mount Urgull (we enjoyed every dusk and dawn on the platform 😎) everything in walking distance.

Amazing Coastline and Historical Beauty

San Sebastian is a famous beach resort in the north of Spain with picturesque coastline, vibrant nightlife and amazing Basque gastronomy.

Playa de la Concha is one of the world’s most popular city beaches, ideal for watersports lovers. Rent a surfboard on Zurriola beach or just relax on a cosy lounge chair under your umbrella.

Established as the culinary capital of Spain, San Sebastian features a variety of bars and restaurants serving delicious pintxos (Basque-style tapas), fresh seafood and fine wine. According to Spanish tradition, you should have one tapa and a wine in one bar, then move on to the next bar.

The tree-covered hill standing just across the gulf is called Urgull and offers spectacular views over the bay and city. Situated at the bottom of it, Parte Vieja is the old part of the town where you can mix with the locals and visit some of the city’s most interesting historical attractions.

Its reputation for food and top restaurants has made San Sebastián a little over confident. The city itself is beautiful with its beautiful horse shoe bay and island, also lovely long promenade and three beaches. Hotels are extremely expensive and not great value for money. This is a pity for such a beautiful place.

We ( my wife and me) love Natural wine and we found this...

We ( my wife and me) love Natural wine and we found this little wine shop (PIRIPI) very close to Zurriola Beach and the Zurriola Bridge ( Usandizaga Kalea) the owners Alaia and Panos recommended us very good wines and give us some tips about Donosti , places that you don’t go if a local dont recommend it. SanSebastian is the most beautiful city that I know.

Although a city, we found it very pleasant to wander around...

Although a city, we found it very pleasant to wander around enjoying the views, bars and restaurants and everywhere appeared very clean. The view from Monte Igeldo is stunning and worth having to pay 2.5 Euros to access. As well as the old town there is a multi level shopping centre which is worth visiting just to see the fish counters. Prices for food and drink are higher along the Boulevard but that is probably to be expected. We tried a number of places to eat, Pepe Taberna which is not far from the Funicular was good value, and we enjoyed the Pinchos in Ormazabal. Getting around was easy with plenty of busses which run from the Boulevard.

One of our favorite cities in Spain.

One of our favorite cities in Spain. The beautiful old town with its variety of shops, bars, and restaurants; the wonderful Playa de la Concha; the amazing views from Monte Igueldo and Monte Urgull; its proximity to quaint little towns like Hondarribia and Hendaye (that you shouldn't miss). And its slow pace that helps you relax and enjoy nature at its best.

overall nice town to visit, get ready to walk alot, taxi doesnt give priority to travelers only to locals.. so its normal to wait over 30 or 40 mins for taxi. very clean city,,, felt safe,, everything is walking distance,,, overall some locations you must use taxi,,, private taxi are very expensive.

This was my first trip to San Sebastián.

This was my first trip to San Sebastián. It was crowded even at the end of September. It rained on the second day so we really didn't have a chance to swim which we were looking forward to. The first day was hot and windy. The beach was crowded but I was waiting for my sons to arrive so I decided to sit at a restaurant rather than the beach which ended up being a good decision because a strong wind blew in a cleared out the beach. I arrived on a Saturday and the restaurants were all packed with tourists. I heard many different languages being spoken so I assumed that people from all over Europe were there for the same purpose. About 1/3 of the wait staff spoke English which seemed to be the Lingua franca for the non-Spanish speaking guests.

The location is the best part and also the short walk to the beach/ sea. The hotel is located near the marina but in the old town. In the old town is all the best pintxos places and the classic cheese cake, including small boutique shops. 10 minutes walk to the Cathedral and the new area with shopping stores. The check-in went great and quick. Good air conditioning and helpful staff

Great location close to the Parte Vieja (Old town). The room was clean and comfortable. Although the reception is not staffed after 19:00, the Pension sent me full and clear instructions on entry to the building, to the hotel and access to my room and contacted me (WhatsApp text) to make sure that I had managed to check in OK.

The property is like a boutique hotel. Impeccably clean with a gorgeous little Juliet balcony. Right on the edge of the old town. Fabulous location. Loves the shared coffee and hot chocolate machine in the lounge. It made amazing hot chocolate. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Fabulous fabulous accommodation.

Incredible. Best hotel during my 3 weeks in Spain. Loved stepping out of the hotel to a wonderful walking path along the bay, as well as neighborhood walks. Delicious variety of choices for the breakfast buffet. High quality food with many healthy choices. Excellent all around.
