Our 6 night stay in Naquela Cadtroviejo was a once in a lifetime experience. Totally unexpected. The combination of most beautiful hiking, perfect hospitality, exquisite food cooked by Ale the owner, at the level of a 5 star restaurant...and served with grace by Sol one of the sweetest, caring hostesses we ever encountered. We felt in love with the place the beautiful village and lovely wineyears, little cities around with interesting historical places to visit. The 3 days festival where all the village families and descendents of Castroviejo gathered to celebrate together was an unexpected and extra moving event of community harmony and identity. You have to stay for a week to get to grasp the unique spirit of LA Rioja a rare gem. Also perfect place for group or family retreat...

Fantastic place and location in the small village of Panzares near the natural park Sierra de Cebollera as we drove along the road N111 from Sofia north to Logrono. didn't know much of the place in beforehand and arrived very late but the host was fantastic and arranged for us to have a marvelous meal with a grill at the table and a bottle of wine. Also the host prepared our breakfast while we waited at the table. More than excellent. A very personal touch as the host had been building on this property for 27 years. This was an unplanned stay but we really would love to return and stay here again and discover the paths and hiking trails I believe can be found in the area. the drive itself was marvelous along the cliffs and mountains overlooking the winding road. Can strongly recommend to travel this way and stay here for families as well as couples.

The apartment was really beautiful with milk and loads of goodies provided, including a large pizza. Our host went above and beyond to facilitate transporting us plus luggage to and from the nearest point on Camino de Santiago. She was so kind to us and gave us a beautiful cake for our ongoing journey,we really loved the simple way she communicated with us by phone despite the Spanish or English language difficulties.

A very warm welcome from Joaquin (who speaks fluent English for those who like me are very new to learning Spanish!). The village setting is peaceful and very beautiful. The setting is stunning overall with walking and activities in the local area. There is a well maintained garden area for guests to use, too. The beds were comfortable and our room had a lovely view over the garden and onto the village. I’ve recommended to family and would certainly stay again.

I so needed spa experience- sauna and jacuzzi- for my pulled back to heal. They had it there. I love how you can reserve it privately for yourself for an hour or two or more. They provide with bath robes, towels etc. staff is very accommodating. We have booked the gastronomy experience, the visit to clay pottery museum and wine tour in addition. Breakfast is lovely. I love how the hotel offers open space everywhere, high ceilings, room opens into the vineyard and town Navarete with a lavish altar piece. Free and abundant car park. Wine tour and tasting was done professionally and passionately as Carmen is so proud of the Riojan wine heritage.
