This place is amazing, so beautifully renovated and looked after by a brother and his sister Daria, who could not have been more helpful. I was very lucky (and surprised) to find a private double room available on the morning I needed it during the Camino. It is a peaceful retreat with everything you need in the lovely historic village of Castrojeriz. Gracias de nuevo por toda tu ayuda Daria!

Owner was very genuine and friendly made everyone feel welcome and at home. Lovely rooms and patio. Close to town. Very friendly locals and pilgrims. Owner went out of his way to help. Very hard working and you could tell his heart was in the Hotel and we would love to come back and stay longer.

The albergue had a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were very helpful and attentive. The evening meal in particular was excellent, and I could only highly recommend this place to other pilgrims. Castrojeriz is a beautiful little place and real highlight on our journey.

Lovely property - it’s like staying in an historic albergue / hostel on the Camino - but with bonus hotel amenities. Fernando is a great host who speaks perfect English. They have a bar and offer a good value supper in their restaurant.
