Everything were perfect, we were on hike there so we had to wake up before breakfast time, but since hotel is owned by good people, they prepared us pack with food, for our next hike! So we recommend this place :)

Super clean and comfortable room – amazing value for money. We really enjoyed our stay even though it was only for one night. We did some hiking in the area and the location of the hotel was great as a base. Cadiar is also not touristy at all, which we really enjoyed. Breakfast with the locals in the nearby café was definitely one of our highlights.

Bèrchules is a typical Alpujarra small village perched on...

Bèrchules is a typical Alpujarra small village perched on the side of a hill. There is a chemist, cashpoint, 2 shops and of course, a church. 1 or 2 cafè restaurants. Parking is fairly easy. The usual problem is mobility, steep streets which are tricky unless you have strong legs and knees! Opening hours in these small villages are "flexible" to say the least so check before you set off on an uphill trek for a meal or a shop. I find self-catering properties in this area is usually your best bet then you have a choice. This particular village boasts the curious custom of celebrating New Years Eve at the beginning of August. But you must ask the locals about that..............

Casa Rural El Paraje is a beautiful place, a cosy old farm house completely renovated into a comfortable B&B. The staff is kind and accommodating and they make an extraordinary good dinner and fantastic breakfast. A bit out of Bérchules, you are on the hill overlooking the amazing Alpujarras valley. The rooms are great and there is space for games and TV / relaxing as well as a swimming pool

This is not a 3* hotel, it is a series of small apartments and there are no central facilities, each apartment is self catering and they are comfortable and basic. The hosts were new, they'd only been there a month before we arrived and were friendly and eager to please but didn't know much about the area.

It was a great hotel, in a perfect location for hiking. We had a very comfortable stay and even had a swim in the pool, which was great after a long hike. Breakfast was outstanding. We would definitely stay again

Lovely Mum and Daughter who run the hotel. Even though they had a temporary emergency in the hotel, they upgraded us to an apartment and nothing was too much trouble.
