Staying in Molino Tejada has been an extraordinary experience. The room we had was in a beautiful old stone building with wooden rafters. Echoing the owner’s area of expertise, it is decorated with exceptional taste. It also has a minimalist kitchenette, with coffee provided. There are communal rooms to relax in - one with a giant screen and another decorated with instruments and other objects, which has a glass floor to reveal the river that flows beneath it. There are books and objets d’art everywhere. We paid for the breakfast which is excellent. In the evenings there is a space outside where food and drinks are served. It is set in a truly magical place and very near many places of exceptional beauty.

Situated in Villamoñico in the Cantabria region, Peñasalve features accommodation with access to a public bath. The property has mountain and garden views.

Wonderful hosts. introduced us to their family and when we mentioned we were going on to Santander the next day, they insisted on driving us to show us a short cut to the motorway. Undoubtedly saved us over half an hour on our journey. Room was clean and comfortable. We would certainly recommend.

lovely little hotel with a fantastic view. clean decent size rooms. the owners, Inma and Pedro are just wonderful. very helpful and couldn’t be more pleasant. they cooked us a fantastic meal in the evening. very reasonable pricing as well.
