Perfectly situated and beautifully renovated hotel. We had a Queen room with balcony and air conditioning- lovely views over the surrounding countryside. A very friendly and helpful owner. Evening meal and breakfast both perfect - couldn’t be faulted.

This is such a great place to stay during the Camino. It’s a bit outside the center of town, but a short taxi ride will take you there in minutes. The room was nice, clean, and modern, with a great bed and everything you need to be comfortable. The pool was a big plus for us; the cold water was the best medicine for our tired legs. We slept so well, and the next day we were rested and ready to continue. They have a bar/restaurant which is great for chilling on the terrace. Also, the girl at reception was super nice and helpful with organizing our taxi the next day and attending to our questions and requests. Loved our stay here!

Jose our host was lovely, he let us checkin early, had everything we needed but left us to ourselves. a modern clean and tidy house with 3 shared bathrooms. bedrooms are spacious, windows fitted with insect screens and a powerful fan to keep cool. right on the camino but only a 3 min walk to laundromat, bars, restaurants and supermarket. Jose provides a fully equipped kitchen, indoor and outdoor sitting areas and a washing line. a surprise bonus was the delicious breakfast served at 7am - toast and jam, croissants, cereal, coffee, tea fruit, ham and cheese. highly recommend.

Stunning apartment....so easy to find on our arrival into Arzua. The rooms are so spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower is incredible and soooo lovely after a long day walking. The basket of treats was very welcome also.

If you’re a pilgrim looking for a private room, I highly recommend checking out Second Home Arzua Apartments. Our apartment could have accommodated up to five guests if someone used the pullout couch, or four guests very comfortably with the regular beds. We had two full bathrooms, a living area, a dining area, and a full kitchen—plenty of space to relax. The host was incredibly accommodating and even left drinks and light snacks for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. The location is excellent as well—very close to the Camino route and just a short walk to cafés, restaurants, and a grocery store. A wonderful stay and a great choice for Camino pilgrims seeking comfort and privacy!

I was pleased with my time in Arzua. I was tired.

I was pleased with my time in Arzua. I was tired. It was a long hard walk with a 40 lb pack on my back, so reaching Arzua and having a clean comfortable bed with a private bathroom and the promise of a hearty breakfast the next morning was a bonus. Also I learned that I could have someone courier my back pack to my next destination was a very welcome piece of news.

Arzua has a charming old town and special pilgrim masses in the church, complete with a guitar-playing and singing nun. A truly special experience. There are lovely restaurants and bars, and plenty of albergues to stay in.

This village boasts a street, Rua Cima do Lugar, that exudes old-world charm and tranquility, a stark contrast to the bustle of the national highway that cuts through the village in its more modern section. It's well worth strolling along and stopping for a drink at one of its bars or taverns.

The owner came to our apartment every day to check the place...

The owner came to our apartment every day to check the place and the kitchen cabinets, making us feel very uncomfortable. She kept me talking for an hour in the apartment; I didn't know how to get her to leave. On the last day, she told me off for using an extra bed. And there's no washing machine, only a laundry sink.

Arzúa is a town with the characteristic charm of the Camino...

Arzúa is a town with the characteristic charm of the Camino de Santiago, just a few kilometers from Santiago de Compostela itself. Arzúa is peaceful but has a pilgrim's life. There's plenty to eat wherever you like, with affordable prices and friendly, grateful people. It's a land of delicious cheese, and we'll definitely be back because it's neither our first nor last time visiting.
