Wonderful hotel and amazing restaurant and really helpful and friendly staff . We were on a family cycling tour and this hotel was on our route so we booked 3 rooms . We were expecting very little because the price was half of anything nearby. On arrival the staff helped us stow our bikes in a safe room for the night and showed us to our rooms which were very clean and well maintained ...great bath and shower with lots of pressure . We booked in for dinner at the hotel restaurant and I can honestly say we had the best restaurant meal I have had in more than a year . The bill was surprisingly cheap . In the morning we had a lovely breakfast in the big dining room which was kept warm by the biggest indoor log fire I have ever seen . The staff then helped see us on our way to start on the next leg of our tour . When we got home we all agreed that the hotel and it's restaurant was the highlight of our trip . I think as a business it is as much a restaurant as a hotel so we will be returning for long lunches and walks in the forest national park behind it.

The best location in town! A very friendly and welcoming host, an amazing view over the village and the gorge from our terrace, the shared pantry, and the great styling of the room. We loved it all, not mentioning the Arab detail in the shower! Restaurants and walks around the corner.

A charming, small hotel with spectacular views over the Alhama gorge. It is in a great location in the centre of the village. The owner was extremely helpful and allowed us to store our bikes inside. She even helped us with finding our lost property. The room was warm and cosy in December.

The landscape around is beautiful and varied.

The landscape around is beautiful and varied. The town has everything you need. To make the most of it do visit the really helpful woman in Tourist Information (closed Mondays and Tuesdays). The historical tour is well worth doing and you get to see inside places that are not otherwise open. The more you explore, the more you appreciate the detail of your surroundings. An unspoilt, small town that isn't too touristy.

Alhama de Granada's old town is lovely but some areas have...

Alhama de Granada's old town is lovely but some areas have become a bit run down since our last visit 8 years ago. It may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. The gorge is stunning and there are some great walks. The Balneario Alhama De Granada with its spa and hot springs is a 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk. The beautiful Los Bermejales Reservoir is a 20-minute drive but well worth a visit.

The gorge. Easy to walk along, lovely views. Hot springs just out of town, but very busy. The old town, easy to walk around, a lot of buildings have been restored, and the castle is in the middle of restoration to a hotel. Very quiet area.

An interesting historic town within a small area - easy to visit everything on foot. Good walking, cycling and and spas nearby. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Near enough to Granada for a day trip.

Best thing about it is the location and the fact that owner lives and work n the same building.. This May sound off putting, however it's a bonus because he's always available. He respects your privacy annd he is polite. I live in London, and I love this lovely town called Alhama de Granada.
