The nicest accommodation in the whole stay in Spain. Beautiful, cozy, clean and very nice. The duvets and pillowcases smelled soft, felt like home. It was even possible to heat. The golden point at the end was the breakfast prepared by the owner with love and care. Too bad we could not stay longer, this accommodation was prepared with love and care. The room was very clean .The bed was very comfortable. It was very warm with a lovely view over the gorge off the terrace. Very close, free parking and town centre is a minute walk away. Beautiful quirky accommodation well worth the money. Definitely recommend.

Very friendly and helpful hosts. Surrounding area had fantastic views. The cortijo itself was comfortable and typically Spanish. Rooms were lovely and beds comfortable. Breakfast was included in the price and was a great start to the day. Would return here if I m in this area again.

The landscape around is beautiful and varied.

The landscape around is beautiful and varied. The town has everything you need. To make the most of it do visit the really helpful woman in Tourist Information (closed Mondays and Tuesdays). The historical tour is well worth doing and you get to see inside places that are not otherwise open. The more you explore, the more you appreciate the detail of your surroundings. An unspoilt, small town that isn't too touristy.

Alhama de Granada's old town is lovely but some areas have...

Alhama de Granada's old town is lovely but some areas have become a bit run down since our last visit 8 years ago. It may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. The gorge is stunning and there are some great walks. The Balneario Alhama De Granada with its spa and hot springs is a 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk. The beautiful Los Bermejales Reservoir is a 20-minute drive but well worth a visit.

The gorge. Easy to walk along, lovely views. Hot springs just out of town, but very busy. The old town, easy to walk around, a lot of buildings have been restored, and the castle is in the middle of restoration to a hotel. Very quiet area.

An interesting historic town within a small area - easy to visit everything on foot. Good walking, cycling and and spas nearby. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Near enough to Granada for a day trip.

The view, the town, the room, the owner. can’t really complain. I am an asian traveling alone. Alhama de Granada is definitely a gem amongst all the destinations I’ve visited during a two week trip in Spain. Especially , if you’re seeking peaceful vibe, the small town can definitely accommodate you for a day or two. The room is clean and modern and provides best views of the valley and hills. Also, the owner is super friendly and helpful.

What a gem! We eded up to Alhama de Granada by chance on our bicycle trip from Nerja to Granada when looking for a place to stay. The town is so beautiful and this appartment did our stay even more relaxed as they have a wonderful hamam-bath in a bottom floor. Very friendly service as well and even though we don’t speak Spanish we could easily communicate with Google Transalator.
