I was a little apprehensive booking a 2 star hotel but it was perfect! The room was clean and comfortable just 20 steps away from the sandy beach and sea. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, Mahmoud in particular took great care of me. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were included and although not a massive selection, (as in some hotel in Egypt I’ve stayed at), it was more than adequate and every meal I had was very good. Tea, coffee, juice and water were readily available but alcohol was not, I bought any drinks I wanted from the hotel next door, which wasn’t a problem. I will definitely be returning to Sun Beach.

All in all we are very satisfied with our stay. Hotel has beautiful territory, it’s all green and you can see that every corner gets attention from gardeners. There are enough place for evening promenade. The beach is not very big, so it’s better to come before 11am, but you have enough sunbeds near the pool if any. Beach is clean, has all facilities. Water is super clean and clear. Service is very good. In restaurants and at the beach you always get attention and can get any drinks or help you need. Food is very good. There are 2 a la cart restaurants (we didn’t try it), and 2 big restaurants - one on the beach and one in main building. Second has bigger choice, but on the beach you can eat on the fresh air with cozy atmosphere. We were completely happy with food choice and taste. Animation team is active and arrange a lot of interesting activities. They invite everyone, so you feel comfortable to join, but if you don’t feel like it, you can just relax. Also you can play table tennis, kicker, billiards, giant domino, darts, boccia. It’s all available all the time. With animation team or for individual use. Gym is new and well equipped for the training. Overall my family and I had great experience! But there are some things that can be improved. I would say that rooms are more on the level of 3 stars hotel. Room in general feels tired and needs some renovation. Bathroom has plastic ceiling that make room not cozy. Bed clothes are clean, but a little grey and have some spots. Towels also worn out. But beds and pillows are comfortable. Also patio is nice. Another point for us was spa. We planned to go, but prices are too high (most of procedures are cheaper in Russia and Germany). You could get some discounts for buying several procedures, but still prices are not good. Room cleaning is average. Foot towel were dirty, but weren’t changed, just folded back.

Ahmed was soooo nice ! He picked us up from the bus station, showed us around town, showed us the delicious Alibaba restaurant (one of our best meals in Egypt !!) and he brought us back to the bus station very early in the morning, a true gentleman !!!!! Very authentic experience !!!
