The accommodation was beautiful. It's near the Cotopaxi National Park and area is very nice. Host Darwin was very kind and he was cooking very well. The restaurant has very good atmosphere with the fireplace. The best bonus was we met with great Ecuadorian people who were also accommodated here :). We really recommend this accommodation if you want to visit Cotopaxi volcan.

Tambopaxi is an truly exceptional place inside the National Parc. Through our window, we had a magnificent view on Cotapaxi Vulcano. Sleeping inside the National Parc has the great advantage that you can start a walk or a ride with horses at your door step. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant is good and the daily menu really fills up after a day of walking. A small but extremely lovely element was the fact that they light up the fireplace in your room at 17h00. Finally the place is "mountain" style so do not except a 5 star resort. But it fits perfectly in the environment and has a high standard. If you need transport, Guido with it's yellow school bus is a great person. You can ask his support through Tambopaxi Reception.

Excellent location, close to cotopaxi national park and public transport. Staff, particularly Anthony, were excellent and very helpful. Nice community atmosphere with communal dinners/breakfasts.

Amazing hotel! It is very beautiful with the best view over Cotopaxi Volcano from the restaurant. Rooms are very cozy and equipped with heaters. Shower has hot water. The food is delicious - both for dinner and for breakfast. I think we had the best potato soup in Ecuador here. And the best part is the owner who is the nicest and most welcoming person. He can also help you to organize your time in Cotopaxi

A great hotel. The rooms are very modern and large, our room even had a jacuzzi. The shower has enough water pressure and hot water. The beds are comfortable and long enough. The staff is very nice and helpful and speaks perfect English. Everything very clean. The breakfast is very fine, with eggs, bread, fruit, flakes and yoghurt.

If I could give this place more than ten, I would. Our stay there was wonderful and Paulina was simply the loveliest host I have ever met on my travels. Her mother also cooked us a three course meal that was delicious and enormous - and for a ridiculously low price. The Lodge has a variety of accommodations and a lovely lounge with wood fire. Outside are two llamas and two sheep! The location is on the road from the PanAmericana to the gate of the Cotopaxi National Park so is perfectly situated. Paulina is extremely knowledgable about the area and we were so grateful that she spoke English so that we could talk to her and learn from her. We had originally planned to stay somewhere else but a medical issue required a change of plans - and we are so grateful that we ended up at Rumipaxi Lodge.

Everything! I booked two nights and stayed two weeks! Traveling by motorbike with my dog 🐶. There is safe (and covered) parking for the motorbike. They have four cute dogs (Kaiser, Loki, Oso, Pepito) which was great for my dog, Mango. Beds are the most comfortable so far in Ecuador. Showers are hot! There’s a shared kitchen (with a fireplace), a restaurant (Aracely makes super good food for 3USD), a terrace, common spaces, a clothes shop, a big lawn, a small shop right next door, etc. On clear days you can see Cotopaxi, Ruminahui, Corazon and Ilinizas. Pick-up truck taxi service at very reasonable prices is offered. Thanks Aracely for my best stay in Ecuador 😍.
