Cuenca is a fun and cute city.

Cuenca is a fun and cute city. It has the colonial town feel of other Latin American towns. I was there on a holiday weekend so the nightlife felt busy and fun. There are a lot of fun daytime excursions and things to see and do. 3 or 4 days is a great amount of time to see the city.

The city has beautiful architecture.

The city has beautiful architecture. I really enjoyed walking in the downtown. Churches are awesome and offer great artistic designs. Pumapungo Museum, and the Museum of the Aboriginal Cultures generate an immersive historical knowledge, both are remarkable. The people is very polite. I recommend to visit Cuenca.

This historic city is known for its architecture and friendly people. The local food is delicious and very reasonably priced both in the markets and in the restaurants. Taxis are metered and very inexpensive. You will be surrounded by mountains and fascinated by the four rivers that flow through the city.

We love Cuenca.

We love Cuenca. Certainly Ecuador's most beautiful large city. Best city for fine dining in Ecuador. Beautiful colonial architecture. Beautiful public parks and gardens. Easy to get around. Friendly people.

I love this city. Its reasonably clean, and safe.

I love this city. Its reasonably clean, and safe. There is so much to do and people are very friendly. We travelled in August, and it was a little cold for me. But I am one of those who is always cold so some may like this temperature. It rained a little almost every day. But it just added to the charm. Our hotel had a glass roof courtyard, so it was very pretty. I work remotely so it worked for me as I could adjust my time out accordingly. I would definitely recommend Cuenca to anyone. I plan to write a blog on places to visit and stay and eat and also post on social media if you want to check it out - TravelzByU

This is our third visit to Cuenca.

This is our third visit to Cuenca. We love the city and have made several friends here. The food is incredible, the people cheerful and welcoming. It's not hard to navigate, but if you don't like hills, maybe better take taxis, which are not expensive. Apartments are not (as they are in some places) outlandishly expensive - the rents run from very inexpensive to luxury-level expensive. There is plenty to do, much to see and excursions are easily arranged. If you visit here and don't come away with friends, you must've never left your room!

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. It is located close to the historic centre, the rooms are comfortable and so quiet. But what really makes this hotel stand out is the highly professional and personable staff. Wilmer and Andres took excellent care of us, they helped us organise all that we wanted to do. We loved this stay so much we have booked another 5 days when we return from Vilcabamba. The breakfast each day is amazing!

Cuenca is very touristy place and thus many visitors compete for the hotel beds. The place was modest but clean, comfortable and priced well. The owner was extremely accommodating and hopped on his motorcycle to lead us through the labyrinth of the narrow old streets to show us the way to the only clinic open on Saturday that we needed.

The staff and cleanness was terrific. Breakfast was good. Bed was good for Ecuador generally but for a hotel it could be better. 5 star staff, kind and professional. I liked the location for general proximity. The bed was good for Ecuadorian standards; better than air b and bs, better than hostels, etc. The area was

If you are looking for luxury this is not the place. It is a basic hotel, the facilities are quite old. I was disappointed that I booked a king size bed and on arrival I got a small bed in the comments mentioned that the plus of the place is the big beds. I never saw a picture with a small bed.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was great. I only stayed two nights but will stay here again when I´m in Cuenca. Free parking and hot showers and close to the centre. Took a taxi, cheaper than paying for parking and less stressfull
