No breakfast at the hotel but got coffee and pastries at the coffee shop all the time and it was great. Got to visit the "Mexican" restaurant, but it was only pretty, the food was disappointing. Their drinks were ok, but the food was nauseating.

Best regards and thanks to the owner Francky :) A very decent and honest guy. He helped us a lot and was very nice. He agreed to store our luggage when we needed it. As for the apartment. Great location. The room was comfortable and had a beautiful terrace. In addition, the opportunity to climb onto the amazing roof was a great added value.

Everything was great. Gorgeous white marble bathroom. Spacious rooms with seating area. Top to floor windows. Quality bed linnen and towels. Aesthetically pleasing on every floor, not just the rooms. Helpful, friendly and English speaking staff. I will keep coming every time I’m in town. Great value for money. Highly recommend.

a beautiful city with a lot history and a modern feeling combine. good food .friendly people. we all ways fell safe you can see police pretty much everywhere. calle de las damas is a most go street. super easy and safe to walk around . boca chica is the closer beach near the citi.

I spent one day with a group tour around the city: caves, panoramic tour by bus, historical part and I loved it! I stayed in a lively area where on Sunday families were playing sports, listening to music, eating out and I loved it, The food is very affordable. Finally, I went by myself to the museums in the historical part again: Catedral la Primada, Ambar museum, Larimar museum. I ate at a restaurant next to the Last Columbus's house and the food was amazing.

I'd take a pass on traveling to Santo Domingo again, I've traveled to a lot of developing countries, but this city is the worst capital in Latin America. The service is all around terrible within the city, it is expensive for what is offered, it is very, very underdeveloped, it is chaotic, and dangerous.

The colonial Zone of Santo Domingo is stunning, with a lot of Museums, A beautiful Cathedral, a very active nightlife, cafes, restaurants a so much. Perfect for walking and relaxing, very Bohemian vibe. Recomendations: Mosquito bar, La casa del ron with a stunning view of the Cathedral and Sabina with a very bohemian style. If you want a more modern vibe then stay in the Piantini district, With a lot of modern bars, restaurants like Sarah and a lot roof top around the city. and a very cosmopolitan vibe, however, be aware that the traffic is chaotic and stressful during peak hours. If you visit Santo Domingo please go to the beach, Close by Bocha Chica, A little bit far away but worth it is La Romana and Punta Cana.

Historic buildings, a multitude of restaurants and terraces, museums, what more do you want? Also nice Malecon for an evening walk. If you don't drive it's easy (and cheap) to get around with Uber.

The city has three nice places: Zona Colonial, Botanical Garden and Les Tres Ojos. Two days will do to see all of them, maximum. The rest is just dirty, chaotic, noisy and full of cars who drive madly.

The staff were the only thing that was decent, the rest is a total rip off. I decided to write this because I don't know how they got a 8.1 rating or how they got a thumbs up from Booking.com. I have been in Hospitality for 32 years, Restaurants, Hotels, Cruise Ships, and the last 10 years the Superyacht Industry. I also travel globally and have been to the Dominican Republic many times, and this was my 5th time in Santo Domingo, so I'm writing this from experience.

Nice hotel in a charming old colonial house within the historic district of Santo Domingo. Fantastic location! Room was basic, but good value for money. The Haitian staff spoke excellent French in addition to Spanish, were helpful and friendly, and helped arrange onward transport. Simple but tasty breakfasts of cheese+ham omelets.
