No breakfast at the hotel but got coffee and pastries at the coffee shop all the time and it was great. Got to visit the "Mexican" restaurant, but it was only pretty, the food was disappointing. Their drinks were ok, but the food was nauseating.

Mauad Hotel Boutique - a perfect place! We stayed 2 nights at Mauad Hotel and it was perfect: the pictures show exactly the reality, everything new and clean. Every aspect of the hotel is exquisite and is truly a 5 star establishment! The assistance and service provided by the staff surpassed our expectations and has created a memorable positive impression (5 star plus). They truly excel at their profession. A notable mention and recognition goes to Melissa Rubio and Laura Jimenez at the front desk, who went beyond their call of duty. Also the porter and the server at breakfast were great! Thank you!

We loved everything about this hotel and our staying there. The room was specious and enough space for 3 of us. Comfortable beds, air conditioning, perfect breakfast. It is in the center, but was very quite - thats was important as we were with 3 years child. Very very stylish and it was aesthetic pleasure.

Everything was great. Gorgeous white marble bathroom. Spacious rooms with seating area. Top to floor windows. Quality bed linnen and towels. Aesthetically pleasing on every floor, not just the rooms. Helpful, friendly and English speaking staff. I will keep coming every time I’m in town. Great value for money. Highly recommend.

I spent one day with a group tour around the city: caves,...

I spent one day with a group tour around the city: caves, panoramic tour by bus, historical part and I loved it! I stayed in a lively area where on Sunday families were playing sports, listening to music, eating out and I loved it, The food is very affordable. Finally, I went by myself to the museums in the historical part again: Catedral la Primada, Ambar museum, Larimar museum. I ate at a restaurant next to the Last Columbus's house and the food was amazing.

I'd take a pass on traveling to Santo Domingo again, I've traveled to a lot of developing countries, but this city is the worst capital in Latin America. The service is all around terrible within the city, it is expensive for what is offered, it is very, very underdeveloped, it is chaotic, and dangerous.

The colonial Zone of Santo Domingo is stunning, with a lot of Museums, A beautiful Cathedral, a very active nightlife, cafes, restaurants a so much. Perfect for walking and relaxing, very Bohemian vibe. Recomendations: Mosquito bar, La casa del ron with a stunning view of the Cathedral and Sabina with a very bohemian style. If you want a more modern vibe then stay in the Piantini district, With a lot of modern bars, restaurants like Sarah and a lot roof top around the city. and a very cosmopolitan vibe, however, be aware that the traffic is chaotic and stressful during peak hours. If you visit Santo Domingo please go to the beach, Close by Bocha Chica, A little bit far away but worth it is La Romana and Punta Cana.

Historic buildings, a multitude of restaurants and terraces, museums, what more do you want? Also nice Malecon for an evening walk. If you don't drive it's easy (and cheap) to get around with Uber.

The city has three nice places: Zona Colonial, Botanical Garden and Les Tres Ojos. Two days will do to see all of them, maximum. The rest is just dirty, chaotic, noisy and full of cars who drive madly.

Santo Domingo can be dangerous if you don't know where you're going. The Colonial Zone is the safest and most beautiful area of the city, and besides that, only a few other zones are worth visiting, such as "Los Tres Ojos."

The pool is amazing, long enough to swim laps lukewarm water and it's open 09am-12pm!!! Views from the flat and the pool are great. The flat has everything for a long stay too. Netflix and cable channels. At the Malecón where you can have run or walk at the sea breeze. Super Market Nacional 5 min drive and 120 DOP with Uber. 20 min SAFE walk to Zona Colonial. Johnny is awesome host. All staff is friendly. Been at couple of dozens hotels or apartments in Santo Domingo - this one has the best quality-location-price ratio!

The accommodation has a very good location for those who want to stay in the Colonial Zone. It's a very short walk to the main streets and restaurants, as well as to the Malecón of Santo Domingo. The accommodation is simple but comfortable and offers great value for money. Parking is public on the street, but I had no issues with it. The host was always present and ready to help!

The breakfast is on a ROFFTOP CONTAINER. The Cheese and all the meat is without colling just on a table! Very simple Hotel, more an YMCA style. Avoid it if you can, NO PARKING available. That is a place for BACKPACKERS. the Price for this standard in Santo Domingo is way overpriced.
