We loved our stay at HM Alma de Bayhibe. All the stuff were friendly and helpful, amazing entertainment team which made our stay interesting as we participated in all kinds of activities organised at the resort. All the excursions were booked at the resort which is very convenient and secure and we enjoyed every single excursion, especially Saona island I would highly recommend this resort

On first arrival I met John who found me the best room in the hotel. He was exceptional and gave 5 star service. My bag was incredibly heavy but he carried it for me without hesitation. Carolina his friend has beautiful eyes. Matheu solved the booking mistake and helped me out alot. In the morning I was met by Edilee and Isabela. Fantastic staff and super accommodating. Very comfortable rooms in smart hotel near the beach with great views and excellent value for money. From Bayahibe to Catalina and Saona islands is a fantastic holiday in Paradise with turquoise seas and white beaches and Presidente ice cold beer!

I think the price vs quality is good. The equipement is more than ok - comfortable bed, fridge, hot water. When you scan the QR code in the room you get a false feeling that the breakfast will be poor, but it’s not true. Location is very good.

A relaxed beach town, and major step-off point for trips to Saona Island. The place is buzzing at the start and end of the day when island trips depart and return, but otherwise it's relaxed and friendly. Plenty of places to eat and drink at night. Overall, far more liberty to wander and take trips than if you're stuck at a resort :-)

FRAUD! FAKE PHOTOS. BAIT & SWITCH. STOLE OUR MONEY. BEWARE OF BOOKING AT THIS LOCATION! The property goes by multiple names: "Cadaques Bayahibe Family Apts" and "Cadaques Caribe Resort & Villas". It's not a resort. It's a large complex with many privately owned apartments. Prior to our arrival, the host sent us a message, stating that our payment wasn't processed for reasons unknown. We were instructed to make the entire payment through: Zelle or CashApp. We later learned that this is typical of thieves because payments paid through those platforms are non-refundable and non-claimable.  THIS IS BAIT & SWITCH FRAUD! We paid for a 2 Bedroom Apartment Suite, with beautifully staged photos. But the apartment didn't exist! Instead, we were given two dirty, deteriorated rooms, on opposite sides of the building. No hot water, dirty towels, old stained sheets, stained pillows, bedbugs, mold, and ROACHES crawling out of the large holes in the walls!! Completely deteriorated and un-rentable! We immediately contacted the host and demanded a full refund. They ignored all messages. Since we had no other accommodations, my family crammed into ONE of the small rooms and stayed one sleepless night in that awful environment. We quickly checked-out the next morning. We filed a complaint with Chase Bank regarding the Zelle payment. We filed a complaint with Booking.com regarding the fake photos and fraudulent activity. We hired an attorney.  BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT SEND ZELLE OR CASHAPP TO THIS LOCATION. IT'S FRAUD. THE CRIMINALS ARE NAMED: Manuel Suarez, Greta Ortiz, Claudia Ortiz.  We hope BOOKING.COM will help us get our refund, and not allow this property to continue victimizing other customers.

It's a quaint little town.

It's a quaint little town. All the restaurants are Italian or pizzerias. They were fair to good. The stores are interesting. It is a small village. We enjoyed exploring it, but there's not a huge amount there besides the souvenir shops, a few clothing stores, a few bars, a few coffee shops, and a few restaurants.

Bayahibe small and cozy, easy to drive, we were there to...

Bayahibe small and cozy, easy to drive, we were there to look for possible place to live. However the europeans have locked up the town and are building many apartment complex's for tourism. Too expensive to rent or buy in Bayahibe. Nice place to visit at Villa Baya for 4 days and that is it. 30 tour bus's bring in 2000 people daily from all over to go on catamaran tours, particularly to Isla Saona I suspect, as well as the scuba business. When the apartment complexs are finished in the next 2 to 3 years, Bayahibe is going to be totally overcrowded I suspect. I asked about snorkel tour for a couple hours. $150 usd!!!!! OUCH!! I am a snorkeler as well as a dedicated swimmer.

Incredible experience! You must stay in this place. In the first moment I booked another place in Bayahibe, even more expensive of this one. I had to escape ! While I was walking a guy suggested me to have a look at this place and I fallen in love . Amazing decorations, incredible team, clean rooms, god breakfast and very well located ( only 5 min walking from beach and city center ) If you need something ask Michele, he will take care of you !!! Wonderful hot guy!

As the reviews indicated, excellent location. Good bodega across the street, 5 minutes from public beach, Western Union, car rental , seafood vender 3 minutes. The big supermercado and 2 smaller also 5 minutes away walking. The kitchen was good. We bought 2 kg thumb sized Samana shrimp, 1600 pesos. Ate shrimp and fresh salad for all 5 nights. Excellent!!! Very nice well kept hotel with beautiful trees/foilage.
