We just passed by on the way to holiday. We wanted a place to sleep, but liked so much the place, we will go back. Very friendly staff, all very clean and nice. The hotel has underground parking, which was very helpfull, as the car was full of luggage. We have a small dog. He was welcomed, and felt so good there.

Wiesbaden is located in the German state of Hesse and is one of the oldest spa towns in Europe. The city is bursting with notable attractions, lush parks like Schlossplatz and it offers a mix of modern and historic architecture.

Wiesbaden, Hesse's elegant capital, offers tradition and beauty akin to other fine German cities.​ Diverse restaurants suit all budgets, while the Sternschnuppenmarkt (Christmas market) impressed as larger and lovelier than those in Darmstadt or Frankfurt. The Staatsheater opera house provided a delightful evening. Buses replace trams but sufficed, as key sights were walkable—leaving our RMV tickets unused. Overall, excellent value for a superior experience.

The city had an old world charm about it.

The city had an old world charm about it. The architecture of the buildings were very nice There was not too much of crowd. The bus connectivity to go around was very good. It was very easy to go from one part of the city to another

Museum Wiesbaden has one of the biggest Art Nouveau...

Museum Wiesbaden has one of the biggest Art Nouveau collection in Europe. Neroberg offers delightful views of the entire city, plus a chance to ride on the Nerobergbahn and to visit St Elizabeth's Church. Das foyer in the Staatstheater is also not to be missed, access is only possible on evenings when there are performances, even without a ticket.

We went to Wiesbaden to visit my daughter and grand kids and...

We went to Wiesbaden to visit my daughter and grand kids and had a wonderful time. Spent much of the time with the kids but did do a lot of walking around to see the sights and ate at the local restaurants. Food was good and the location of our BandB were fantastic. Also got to nearby Mainze. Don't miss the Wiesbaden Museum or the Kurhaus with the casino. You can walk almost everywhere but we took Taxis to the train station and it was only 12 euros from the hotel across the Wilhelmstasse from the Kurhaus. Go see the Fasonerie which is a zoo type park outside of town.

Oranienhotel, Kurhaus and the Opera. The Rheingau Riesling Route. A wonderful supper at Wbers Wikinger! Wiesbaden is a posh city and one of the view cities in Germany not destroyed by the Second World War.

We really liked the 'feel' of the area around the hotel.

We really liked the 'feel' of the area around the hotel. We ate at Alex, which had extensive items for special diets--food was great. There are so many little shops along the cobblestone streets, not chains. We didn't leave nearly enough time to explore. Would have loved to have seen inside the cathedrals, but they were closed.

Hotel Jagerhof is easy to find, just take a bus three stops up Bahnhofstr. from the train station. When going back to the hbf goto the bus station around the corner and there is a sign on the wall telling you which buses to take. The presence of a fridge was useful, but no tea-making facilities. The bed was OK and the shower hot. Breakfast was included, and made for a nice start to the day.

The hotel is situated about 500 meters from the old centre. In Wiesbaden it's hard to find a parking spot in the city centre. They hotel offer a 24 hour parking tickets,in the parking garage on the other side off the road for(at this time) 12,50euro. I think that's a great service.
