The gym is small but good. A dumbbell rack, bench, pull up bar, two treadmills. Good enough to do a workout. Gym has windows and good ventilation. Lots of car parks and they are free, big bonus. Restaurant food was good but had limited choice. Same few dishes every day. Draught beer was good. Nearby is a big supermarket as well.

We really liked the 'feel' of the area around the hotel.
We really liked the 'feel' of the area around the hotel. We ate at Alex, which had extensive items for special diets--food was great. There are so many little shops along the cobblestone streets, not chains. We didn't leave nearly enough time to explore. Would have loved to have seen inside the cathedrals, but they were closed.

The museums and restaurants were great.
The museums and restaurants were great. There did seem to be a post-covid less than friendly approach to welcoming tourists based on our interaction with front facing staff. Schloss Biebrich website announced its opening hours and seemed to beckoning visitors but was closed when we got their and had some strange online approach to ticket purchases for visitors - anti-tourism in my view. Many shops seemed averse to card based payments and wanted cash. Overall a nice city to visit but expensive.

We went to Wiesbaden to see some Wagner operas.
We went to Wiesbaden to see some Wagner operas. We loved the opera house, an unusually intimate space, and the music was spectacularly good. The town itself has some great shops and a lovely pedestrian precinct. We found some great places to eat as well. It’s a pretty town with splendid churches and beautiful facades on the buildings. A lovely park near the centre was a good place for a pleasant walk. I would definitely recommend Wiesbaden.

Wiesbaden was a perfect couple of days stopover and...
Wiesbaden was a perfect couple of days stopover and alternative for Frankfurt, a simple 45 minutes from the airport by S8/S9 train. It’s a compact city with easy walking distances, and reasonably priced taxis, due to short distances. There are some shopping malls, and good cafes, restaurants in the old city. The city offers facilities that echo the nineteenth century imperial spa town set up for the royal court (fine parks and gardens, opera, theatre, comedy, casino, art gallery) and a thriving artistic life. The Premier Inn is well located across parks from the main station just a five minute walk from the main station.

Wiesbaden is a lovely city, not too large, great for walks through old neighborhoods. Bring a foldable cup and stop at the various fountains to drink forever flowing mineral water. The Kochbrunnen water is hot and smelly, but good for you!
Don’t miss having cake and coffee at Cafe Maldaner. It is always busy. On the weekend you might have to stay in line.

This is a relatively large and modern hotel located in a nice Jugendstil building in the historical centre of Wiesbaden, easily reachable by foot or public transport. Our room had everything needed for an overnight stay. The breakfast was very good. We also had to stay for several hours after the checkout doing some urgent work before departure, and the spacious lobby of the hotel was very convenient for that, so that we did not bother anybody nor were bothered ourselves.
A generous spread for breakfast. My room overlooked the 'Kur-Park' - lots of trees with parrots (!) and squirrels, and the big beautiful theater. Easy walking. distance to the center of town. I chose a single room with balcony for it's view.
There are bigger, nicer rooms available in the hotel.
Clean bathroom, good shower.
