Staying at Hotel Central Garni in Triberg was an absolute delight — easily one of the most memorable and welcoming hotel experiences we’ve ever had, thanks in large part to Christof, the owner, whose genuine hospitality and great sense of humour went above and beyond the usual standard. From the moment we arrived, Christof made us feel truly welcome. He personally greeted us, helped with our bags, and offered excellent local recommendations — including local museums, the Triberg waterfall, and which restaurants to try. His knowledge of the area and thoughtful suggestions made a real difference in how we experienced the town. The room was spotless, quiet, and very comfortable. Hearing the waterfall made for such a restful sleep! Breakfast each morning was a highlight: fresh, plentiful, and served with attention to detail. By the second day, Christof already remembered our coffee preference and had it ready for us — a small gesture that meant a lot. What really made this stay special was the level of personal care. When I mentioned I was traveling by train, Christof helped with our arrival and even offered to store a bag after checkout for a later pickup. Triberg itself is a lovely destination, but our time at Hotel Central Garni — and Christof’s outstanding service — is what made the trip truly unforgettable. I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the Black Forest. You’ll be in good hands!

Absolutely beautiful location, and the family that keep it are very friendly. Room was clean and small but had everything I needed, also appreciated the forest themed curtain which I thought was a neat touch. Bed was comfortable too. Wifi worked well. They give you a tourist ticket on check in which I used for Triberger Wasserfälle and Schwarzwaldmuseum (really enjoyed visiting both) The hotel is also convenient to supermarket and bus stops. I stayed for 2 nights, and will stay here again if I get the chance to return to Triberg

Fantastic value for money! The hospitality was truly exceptional — when we mentioned there was no public transport or taxi available, the owner personally came to pick us up from the station. We stayed in this place for two nights and we had a fantastic stay ! This place exceeded all our expectations! The apartment itself was clean, comfortable,stylishly decorated and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and appliances making it easy to prepare meals. The WiFi was fast and reliable which was a huge bonus for us to work from here. This property is in perfect location, situated in a vibrant yet safe and peaceful area. It is very near to the Triberg waterfall (hardly 350m/5 mins walk).The neighborhood had a charming atmosphere, making it a delight to explore. What truly made the experience outstanding was the host.He was incredibly helpful and responsive, going above and beyond to make sure the stay was enjoyable. Actually we came very late (around 12:30 midnight) during check-in but he waited for us to handover the key and explain everything. The attention to detail and genuine care made me feel right at home. Even in the apartment he left a case of beer for us I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great experience.I would definitely stay here again in the future.

My recent stay at the apartment in Triberg was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful amenities provided. The apartment is modern, spacious, and impeccably maintained. The living area was cozy and was modern furnished. For my surprise, the apartment had a small balcony to the backside. As it is a very quite area, I enjoyed the evening there. The bathroom was spotless and featured a contemporary design. Fresh towels, Shampoo and Lotions were provided. The free parking space in front of the house was very convenient. The apartment's location is ideal for exploring Triberg and the Black Forest region. I was within walking distance to local attractions, shops, and restaurants. The famous Triberg Waterfalls were just a short walk away, making day trips effortless. Our host, Jagdev, was welcoming and attentive. He provided clear instructions for check-in and was readily available to answer any questions, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience. My stay at this apartment exceeded all expectations. It's a perfect choice for seeking comfort, convenience, and a touch of luxury in the heart of the Black Forest. Triberg is a very odd place.

Triberg is a very odd place. Once you've seen a few cuckoo clocks, they really aren't that interesting. Who is buying them?! The waterfalls are great and it's a nice walk to the top but in retrospect I'd go directly to Freiburg from Baden Baden (our previous stop) and probably skipped this town.

Very nice town with nice cockoo clocks, especially the 3 Bears, and well located to see Black Forest's attractions. Unfortunately the shops open late in the morning and close very early in the evening, so not too much to see in the evening. Very good dinner at "Landgasthof zur Lilie"

Stay in Triberg is comfortable.

Stay in Triberg is comfortable. Attractions can be completed in a day and konus guest card allows you to travel within Blackforest for free and visiting attractions with paid entrance, free of charge.

Touristy little town, but more to do than we had time for. Black forest cake (don't say Gateau, they don't call it that!) is well worth trying if you have a sweet tooth - Adler's is our favourite Cuckoo clock shops are worth a visit, amazing how much goes into them We would have liked a full day there to also do the museums etc.

It is good for walks and family time together. The Triberg waterfall walk through helps me reconnect with myself and nature. The swimming pool is a good place for the entire family to have a picnic and swim or play around.

Triberg is nice small town can easily reach attractions of black forest from here. Few minutes walk to the highest water fall in Germany, Several hiking trails vis black forest Konus card is helpful with the commuting around back forest free of charge from busses and trains.

An old hotel, but with renovated rooms. The rooms are large and spacious. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hotel is in the heart of the city. There is an option of paid parking from the hotel, which is very convenient. All rooms and access to the hotel are operated by phone, which is convenient from the point of view of late check-in. When booking, guests receive a gift card for free access to museums and local entertainment. The breakfast is another story - I really liked its content and its atmosphere.

The Hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. My train connections were bad and the time to reach Triberg was late at night at 1. When I informed the hotel about the sudden changes, they made sure that I could obtain the key to my room even outside of the working hours. The location is very convenient, it's right opposite the entrance of the waterfall. Other touristic locations are also nearby.

Nice apartment in a farm, we were treated very well by Barbara and Isabella from day 1, you can see al their animals (even llamas!!), beautiful walk behind the house. Quiet place to rest and move around Triberg área. Also they provide a guest card to access many things fir free in the área (e.g. Triberg waterfalls or Rhin falls and boat trips,, etc)

Its indeed home away from home. Very welcoming host, explained everything about Triberg in detail. Apartment was very spacious and enough even for 6 adults. We enjoyed every moment there. Public transport is also 2-3 min away. Host also provided us free guest card which gives you access to many attractions in Triberg including waterfall.
