We loved everything! Convinient location and loads of parking space. Check in nice and easy. The room was stunning. View on the field with sheep was amazing and brought tranquility. It was very clean, all the necessary amidites were there including a kitchenette, big fridge and TV. Great place to stay even for more than one night.

The location was in the centre of Torgau and, although I arrived minutes after check in closed, Kristin couldn't have been more accommodating and polite, a genuinely very nice lady who not only gave me a great recommendation for a lovely little restaurant as well, she gave the hotel her personality which is something that I don't find in cities. This, as Kristen said, was the best that the GDR had to offer. Well, it was all I needed. Well located, a comfortable bed, hot shower and quiet. It is basic, but, I wasn't looking for anything else.

Torgau is a beautiful, historic town. There are many museums and exhibitions. Unfortunately, we couldn't find a single open restaurant serving good Saxon cuisine; the restaurants were only "run-of-the-mill."

We took a short trip to Torgau to see the sights there.

We took a short trip to Torgau to see the sights there. Our trip was at the beginning of March. Unfortunately, we weren't aware that almost all the museums are closed until the end of March. Even a guided city tour wouldn't be possible until April. We weren't too happy about that, so if you're planning a trip to Torgau, it's only worthwhile from April onwards.

Contrary to the description stating that the hotel has a restaurant, while the space was available, there was no hot food being prepared due to a lack of cooks. Therefore, the kitchen was permanently closed. This should have been mentioned in the description. Breakfast was available and was good.

A beautiful, historic town, as is the Elbe river landscape – perfect for cycling tours. Hartenfels Castle with its church consecrated by Luther and the town church of St. Mary are must-sees.

The best time to visit Torgau seems to be from May to August...

The best time to visit Torgau seems to be from May to August. We were there in April, and the fountains and some museums were still closed. The old town is very beautiful, and the exhibitions in the castle are well worth seeing. The fantastic playgrounds, created just a few years ago for the state garden show, are great for children.

Hartenfels Castle is well worth a visit.

Hartenfels Castle is well worth a visit. The old town, with its small shops like "Vintageliebe" and truly historic alleyways and buildings, is also very charming. The town isn't very large, making it ideal for those arriving by train and exploring on foot. The only downside is that some restaurants have very short opening hours.

MOST DIRTY HOTEL I HAVE EVER BEEN. LOOK LIKE THOSE FILTHY MOTELS FROM AMERICAN MOVIES OR BREAKING BAD. TOWELLS WERE WET AND DIRTY, THEY DID NOT CHANGE SHEETS AT SECOND BED!!!! SMELLS CIGARETS AND LIKE SOMETHING DIED INSIDE. IF YOU WANT REST DO NOT GO THERE
