We stayed here for 3 days as part of a trip to the Black Forest. The staff are brilliant, especially the lady (apologies, I didn't catch her name) who runs the guesthouse and works very hard to ensure everything runs smoothly. Our German is very basic (we will try to learn more for next time!) but the staff made us feel very welcome. The room was extremely clean and comfortable, the food in the restaurant was delicious at both breakfast and dinnertime, and the "Ossos" beer brewed by the guesthouse was great. We would definitely come back when next in the area, the region is beautiful and would have loved to have stayed longer. Thank you!

Great staff too who can remember my coffee choice on the second day of stay. - Room is a little outdated but clean and spacious. - hoschschwarzwald card for free. Very closed to Feldberg (15 mins ride) - super helpful staff Ms. Martinovic from sister Hotel Alemannenhof. She helped us making a few calls to attraction while we don't speak German.

Titisee-Neustadt is a charming town with a lot to offer.

Titisee-Neustadt is a charming town with a lot to offer. The lake is beautiful and perfect for a relaxing stroll, and the town center is full of character, with lovely little shops, cozy restaurants, and plenty of ice cream stands. It’s a great place for a peaceful getaway and to enjoy the Black Forest atmosphere. However, one unpleasant experience during our visit was dinner at Musse am See – Bio Asia Dining. We were a group of 3 adults and 4 children, and we ordered at 8:20 PM. The service was extremely slow and disorganized: The first dish (for one child) arrived at 8:50 PM. Two more dishes (for adults) came at 9:05 PM. The remaining four meals (for one adult and three children) didn’t arrive until 9:20 PM. A simple Sprite took over 15 minutes, and only arrived after my friend went to the counter to ask about it. The staff seemed unaware until she pointed it out. To make matters worse, the waiter spilled the Sprite onto one of the children’s meals, which completely ruined it—and the child didn’t eat after that. I love Asian food, but this was by far the most disappointing experience I’ve had at an Asian restaurant. It was a real letdown in an otherwise lovely town.

We stayed in Titisee many years ago when it was a lovely quite place by the lake, now its like Disneyland with hoards of people and tatt. The cafes are all average with gloomy staff. Absolutely awfull, couldnt wait to leave. The highlight was the pension we stayed in. It is ruined, we wont be returning.

Titisee-Neustadt is a truly charming destination, nestled in the Black Forest with a beautiful lake and picturesque views that feel straight out of a postcard. I’ve visited twice — once in February and once in May — and both times I was lucky to have sunny weather that made the surroundings even more magical. The town itself is cute and definitely has that classic "Kurort" (spa town) feeling. It’s clean, tidy, and built to please. However, it’s also extremely touristic. Almost everything feels curated for visitors — from the Black Forest souvenirs to the so-called local specialties (with matching tourist price tags). It can feel a bit artificial at times, like a movie set of a perfect Alpine village. That said, if you're looking for fresh air, scenic walks, and relaxing lakeside moments, it’s still worth the trip. Just know you won’t be alone — Titisee is no hidden gem, but it’s easy to see why so many people love it.

We can at an off season which was nice because it was less crowded. However, it meant that the hours of shops and restaurants had a much smaller window. The lake and surroundings were beautiful! It was our home base to explore the Black Forest and towns near us!

Perhaps dependent upon good weather (which we had): the views and facilities in the area are superb. Good roads, everywhere looks so clean. There are large numbers of mobile homes/caravans/campervans in the area and we can imagine the location would be very busy in the main season (we visited for two nights in early Sep 23).

The area is beautiful, lots of attractions for families with kids. We enjoyed taking a boat out to the lake, the minigolf, and the waterpark. We also did a lot of nature hikes in the area which were amazing. reasonable driving time to most popular attractions.

The breakfast was outstanding. For a small pension it rivalled a large hotel we stayed at. There was a great variety of everything, fruit, cereals, bread, jams, meats, cheese, the best breakfast we have had during our two week holiday. The room was clean and decorated lovely. Very good value for money. Cant praise this pension enough.would highly recommend.
