Very comfortable rooms, great showers, strong WiFi, very nice facilities, excellent restaurant and really good breakfast. Staff in all areas were super friendly and efficient. Parking was easy and always available. We were there with a group and booked 6 rooms. Everyone was very happy with Hotel Nikisch.

Amazing place, in the middle of the nature! The room is spacious, clean and warm and it has everything you need - a dining table, a small living room area, fully equipped bathroom and a very comfortable bed. The host is friendly and welcoming. The surrounding is calm, with no other noise than the occasional chirp of the birds - what a delight! Will definitely come back!

My favorite place to stay on my way from Amsterdam to Berlin or other places in Germany. Just behind the border in a beautiful, green area. Very quiet, with nice rooms, free parking and a fantastic breakfast: A lot of fruits, müesli, yoghurts, delicious German "Brötchen" (bread), eggs, cheese. For vegetarians also really enough choices. The people are so kind, and it's such a lovely place that I definitely want to go back there at my next German trip or holidays. Schüttorf is also worth a visit (Dutch and German infornation is available at the reception), and in summer a dive in the Quendorfer See is a highlight for the whole family, with the nice restaurant "Else am See" for really good food and drinks.

I love this area very much.

I love this area very much. Especially the lakes: Quendorfer See, and Haddorfer Seeen. Nice to go for a swim or walk. Also Schüttorf is nice to visit. I would love to stay there a little longer and see more of this area, and the small villages.

A very pretty little town with many beautiful old houses.

A very pretty little town with many beautiful old houses. Excellent starting point for cycling tours in the surrounding area. Shops and shopping opportunities are plentiful. For restaurants, we recommend "Den Venhof," "Else am See," and "Rhodos," a Greek restaurant.

Fantastic, very attentive service.

Fantastic, very attentive service. A wonderful property with plenty of meadows and nature! The breakfast was outstanding, exceeding my expectations. The swimming pool and sauna are very well-maintained, and the view of the surrounding greenery is perfect.

If you're looking to relax and unwind, this is the perfect place. Shopping is nearby, and the surrounding nature is pristine and peaceful. It's a beautiful and clean spot for families at the lakeside beach. While the children build sandcastles, parents can enjoy the view. 5 stars ❤️❤️❤️

We only visited the Ohse district; we can't comment on...

We only visited the Ohse district; we can't comment on Schüttorf itself. However, the small village (approximately 700 inhabitants) is very pleasant, and the well-stocked village shop offers good shopping options. It's worth exploring the area, especially by bicycle, as there are very well-maintained cycle paths.

The Hotel Alte Feuerwehr was very charming. It had nice beds, a unique house with a very cute tiny surrounding town. The price was exceptional for a stay of four people plus breakfast. Everything was clean. The breakfast was very good and had things that everybody liked. The atmosphere was also cute and calming. We would come back if we would need to be in the area at some point again.
