We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The location is perfect if you want to be close to the A2 motorway, yet it’s quiet and relaxing. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated with a lot of style, and the attention to detail was exceptional – everything felt thoughtfully prepared. The beds were extremely comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. We also really appreciated the thoughtful gift from the owner, such a nice personal touch.

I specifically visited to see the icon museum which is wonderful. But I liked the friendly manner of the people and the attractive old town. I didn't need to do any major shopping but the Palais West Centre seemed to have everything. I enjoyed sitting drinking tea outside and because of the warm Spring weather I was even able to catch the bus to spend an afternoon in Copa Ca Bakum in Herten.

Our main activity in Germany is shopping.

Our main activity in Germany is shopping. Since many of the individual shops gave gone in favour of chains in Palais Vest we no longer spend much time in Recklinghausen centre. We used to do 2 or 3 visits per trip. Barbara's shop is a newly found treasure trove and we did return there a couple if times, but not any other shops in the centre.

Genuine inn like atmosphere. Brilliant location in old town, near everything I wanted in Recklinghausen. Room had super king bed and tv and toiletries in bathroom. Family run makes a difference. They let me check in early ! Home cooked food in the restaurant and cosy beer garden out front. And the price was a bargain. What a find.

it was close to the centre. I was there for a church conference and everything was easily accessible from the hotel. I also had my dog with me and it easy to take it for a walk around the property. The food at the restaurant was also good.

We had a fantastic stay. The bed is very comfortable, the sauna was great and having a fridge was perfect. Recklinghausen was a cool place, it has everything you need. Aldi and Rewe are only 5/10 minute walk away.
