We really do not recommend booking this horrible place.

We really do not recommend booking this horrible place. Save yourselves and your money. First we could not access the key box (code was not fully shared / no proper instructions) after a few phone calls this could be resolved however. We booked 3 rooms: All rooms had WIFI access but no WIFI connection ! Room 1: Dirty bathroom Room 2: No heating, No warm water (in the shower!!!) (We had days of -10°C) Room 3: No heating, USED and/or DIRTY bedsheets

A charming, well-maintained small town in the Ore Mountains.

A charming, well-maintained small town in the Ore Mountains. You can unwind with walks and hikes, and there are several lovely destinations in the surrounding area. Those interested in learning can visit the Saigerhütte to discover the history of ironworks.

A nice little town with some cultural highlights.

A nice little town with some cultural highlights. Friendly people, but unfortunately few good restaurants. Throughout the Ore Mountains, there are constant roadworks with poor detour signs! As a result, we were unable to reach several of our destinations.

Excellent accommodation, highly recommended.

Excellent accommodation, highly recommended. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the bed linen is 100% cotton and the beds are very plush. Seiffen and Olbernhau are within easy reach, and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, including some within the hotel itself.

On the day of our arrival, we visited Stockhausen.

On the day of our arrival, we visited Stockhausen. My grandson had a wonderful time there. At the bakery during Saturday breakfast, we met a very nice saleswoman. Perhaps the weather wasn't entirely suitable for the clothes we had brought. A sled would have been handy. But we'll just come back again and find nice accommodations.

With the landlady's help, we managed to get a table for dinner for two days at the restaurant 20 meters away. There were no other options. However, there was another restaurant about 2 kilometers away. The first three days of the week are almost impossible to find a place to eat out.

I booked the last room at 18.30 having been let down elsewhere. Staff were very welcoming, restaurant meal excellent as was the breakfast the next day. Rooms excellent. Location on the grounds of the Sagerhutte Musuem complex was ideal as I wanted to visited. No more than 5 mins walk from Olbernhau Grunthal station with hourly service to Chemnitz and points N, E and W. What could be better!

We were very satisfied. The staff took excellent care of us throughout our stay. They set up Netflix for us in our language and made us a great dinner. The breakfast was very tasty. The hotel is located about half an hour by car from Freizeitbad Aqua Marien and an hour and a quarter from Dresden. Thank you, we will come again.
