The location of this hotel is perfect for a visit to Ludwigsburg. It's literally spitting distance from the Residenzschloss Ludwigsburg, which is probably the main reason for visiting the town, but it would also make a good base for exploring the surrounding area. For parking, use Parkhaus im Marstall 71634, Bietigheimer Str, which is located directly across the road from the hotel. Ask the receptionist at check-in/out to validate your parking ticket to get a bit of a discount. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was excellent. Our room had a double aspect, with one of the windows looking out towards the schloss. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The room was huge, plenty light and just beautifully decorated. Bathroom was spacious and it was a treat to have a towelling gown to relax in. Food was excellent. Loved this hotel.

The town has everything for a weekend stay. A good selection of shops, restaurants and coffee places. The market square has seats for relaxing and watching the world go by. The palace and gardens are a real gem. There are tours of the building and the gardens offer a chance to relax in a scented environment

A wealth of culture.

A wealth of culture. A fantastic park, currently featuring a pumpkin exhibition in autumn. A beautiful town center around the market square with plenty of shopping opportunities. A visit to the tourist information office is worthwhile: very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent cycle paths that make the heavy car traffic bearable.

Worth seeing: the Residenzschloss (Royal Palace) and its exhibitions. Nestor Hotel is within walking distance. Very close to Stuttgart. Driving through and reaching the hotel on October 3rd, 2025, was a nerve-wracking experience.

Ludwigsburg is worth seeing, with its palace and palace gardens. There are always events taking place here. Ludwigsburg is also a good starting point for exploring Stuttgart. The S-Bahn (suburban train), which runs every few minutes, gets you to Stuttgart quickly.

A beautiful Baroque city with a vibrant color. We were especially charmed by the market square with its statue of Herzog Ludwig (the city's founder). Unfortunately, construction was underway at the Schloss, which made the view there less appealing.

Great location for my German HQ office, plus access to the town centre and restaurants all within easy walking distance. The staff are lovely, breakfast is always amazing, the rooms are very smart (like the rest of the hotel), and we can't wait until we return later this year.
