This privately run hotel boasts an enviable location directly on the broad, south-facing beach in Grömitz, close to the marina.

The two room suite was super. The equipment in the room was total, you didn´t miss anything. The bedroom was quite and the bed was very comfortable. There was a large balcony belonging to the room. This time it was too cold to sit outside but in the summer and spring, it must be very nice. The breakfast and dinner was superb. We stayed at the hotel in January and it must be lovely to stay at the hotel in the summer when you can use the beach just a few steps from the hotel. It was also very comfortable with the parking. Every room has it´s own parking place with a number. We will for sure come back and we will bring our family with us next time.

A lot of places on the beach front have days where they are...

A lot of places on the beach front have days where they are closed even in peak season and a lot have different opening times. Some places not really customer friendly. Has some really nice cafe/imbis places with good value food better than the restaurants. We used it as a base to visit other places. Fischhuus was the best place to eat for us , best value for money and open every day! The Breakfast at the Bakery Sesselberg at the Nahkauf Supermarket was the best value for money for us in Kellenhusen.

We've been going to Dahme or Kellenhusen for about 40 years...

We've been going to Dahme or Kellenhusen for about 40 years now. Unfortunately, Dahme has become somewhat run-down in recent years. Some shops have closed (for example, the good fishmonger in the center). Kellenhusen, on the other hand, has invested a lot. The beach promenade is very nicely designed. Therefore, we will most likely choose Kellenhusen again.

Ideal for family holidays with children, no through traffic. Ideal for relaxation if you enjoy swimming in the Baltic Sea, relaxing in a beach chair and reading. Ideally located between forest and sea, offering plenty of variety.

Kellenhusen had everything we needed.

Kellenhusen had everything we needed. Everything else is easily accessible by bike or car. We sometimes ate at home or went to a restaurant on the beach. However, the cycle paths in Grömitz aren't easy to find. They're partly cycle/footpaths, partly roads. And from the marina towards Bliesdorf, the route follows the main road.

Kellenhusen is a beautiful, smaller, and well-maintained...

Kellenhusen is a beautiful, smaller, and well-maintained Baltic Sea resort. It's the perfect place for those seeking peace and quiet. Many places are easily accessible on foot. There's a range of sporting activities available, as well as excellent opportunities for cycling and hiking.

A beautiful, peaceful place with everything you need right...

A beautiful, peaceful place with everything you need right there: supermarket, bakery, etc. Large beach, either natural or guarded. Plenty of leisure activities, from beach sports to forest hikes. And of course, the pier!
