A excellent hotel in a lovely setting just 12 minutes from E3 motorway and your in the country side this hotel is first class . Rooms spotless clean dinner was stunning the staff amazing. because I left before breakfast I add a stunning pack up breakfast a massive thank you to you all for a magnificent stay. This is a very nice property that has been refurbished to a very high standard, it looks like no expense has been spared. The owner and his family were exceptionally friendly. The restaurant has to be a dining experience not to be missed, an absolute gem of a place. We could not take breakfast at the hotel but the recommendation of the local bakery proved to be very good. Would highly recommend.

Another great stay; great food, lovely staff, beautiful surrounding and nice playground for the kids. My recommendation would be to invest in the rooms, a bit outdated and in summertime airconditioning would be nice.

Everything was exactly as one could wish for.

Everything was exactly as one could wish for. Pure relaxation, and everything was clean and tastefully furnished. The pool was a good temperature, which isn't always the case these days. The staff were always friendly.

Breakfast offered a wide selection. The menu caters to all tastes, both in terms of budget and dietary preferences (sweet, savory, meat, vegan, vegetarian). The view from the conservatory is particularly lovely. Hygiene and COVID-19 precautions are taken. Hiking trails start right at the doorstep.

In the surrounding area, you can enjoy beautiful walks in the woods and visit castles and towns. The Spessart region is worth a longer stay. The restaurant serves typical German dishes, not small portions. The rooms are still traditionally German, but the owner is working on modernizing them.

I found the accommodations a bit outdated, especially the mattresses. There were hard feather or hair spikes sticking out. And the balcony had wooden folding chairs that weren't very comfortable for sitting on for extended periods. The extractor fan was very noisy. For the price, I didn't think it was worth it.

Heimbuchenthal lies in a narrow, long valley in the Spessart region. Hikers and cyclists should be aware that the route is mostly uphill at first; however, the views and stunning scenery always make up for the effort, and afterwards it's downhill again :-)

We. Stayed here for one night as a convenient stop on the way to the Dolomites, however if we had known how lovely the hotel was we would have stayed longer. The food was fantastic and the staff really helpful. The recommendations for wine were spot on. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom had everything you needed. It was unusually hot so the only improvement might be to provide a fan. We would love to go back.

Really nice people. The food was very good, and at a fair price. Rooms and the hotel were very clean. Also a great location for outdoor running and walking. We would surely consider coming back to Wiesengrund.
