Lovely hotel in a quiet little village in a lovely area of Germany, on arrival the staff are so friendly and welcoming and helpful, hotel was lovely inside looked all brand new , room was lovely big space, very clean and tidy, had drinks in room, shower and bathroom was all brand new and lovely, bed was comfortable , breakfast was great, would stay again, wish I could have stayed longer ,

Superb accommodation - very modern, spacious and finished to a high standard. Modern washing machine/dryer was a bonus. Large living room/kitchen - you could certainly get a family of 5 in there comfortably. Beds very comfy, sofa bed - one of the best slept on. What brand is it? You should import them to England! Proper blackout blinds, warm shower. Perfect.

Welcoming. Lovely light and airy suite with kitchen area (including fridge and microwave). Comfortable, modern fittings. Shared living rooms downstairs with help yourself bar. Very homely. Excellent breakfast. I wish I'd booked for more than one night.

Nice place to stay on brilliant location.

Nice place to stay on brilliant location. Nice view over the mountains. Staff is very friendly, atmosphere is quiet, breakfast is good enough. Rooms are very clean and bed was very good. Only pillows are very soft and good be improved.

Heimbach is small German town within the Eifel National Park...

Heimbach is small German town within the Eifel National Park. Very good destination for easy to medium hikes, but also popular with bikers and cyclists. Close-by there is a dam lake were you can do plenty of water sport activities(sailing, SUP, kayaking, swimming, boat trips). The scenery is quite unique. In Heimbach central you can find many traditional German houses it has an old town vibe, with many places to sit inside but without a "touristy" vibe. There is castle which is well worth visiting and also an art academy which hosts art events every now and then. The restaurants and breakfast places in the centrum offer traditional German dishes which basically means lots of meat and bear. Because of Cologne's close proximity you can find many places with Kölsch beer on the tap, which is quite different from the most common Pils types. Perfect destination for families who like outdoor activities. It is said the the national park has very little light pollution so stargazing can also be a fun thing to do.

The best part is the center of the holiday park, but the less pleasant aspect is the steep location and the associated low-traffic nature of the park. Please pay attention to the transport of people to and from the center. The location with the views, the play facilities, the swimming pool, and the restaurant are all fantastic!

Heimbach is a charming little town situated on the Rur River...

Heimbach is a charming little town situated on the Rur River in the Eifel region. Pretty half-timbered houses, the river itself spanned by several bridges, and of course the imposing castle give Heimbach a lovely atmosphere. There are good hiking and cycling trails, as well as playgrounds and picnic areas along the Rur.

There are plenty of things to do from Heimbach, such as a...

There are plenty of things to do from Heimbach, such as a boat trip on Lake Rur or a train ride to Aachen or Cologne. There's no ticket office at the station; there are ticket machines. However, the most convenient option is to buy a train ticket at the Aral gas station next to the station. A visit to Monschau, about a half-hour drive from Heimbach, is highly recommended.

A lovely town with many restaurants, a beautiful castle and...

A lovely town with many restaurants, a beautiful castle and church, and plenty of hiking opportunities. Zur Forsterstube is a good restaurant, with large portions for relatively little money and a friendly owner and her sister. There's also a good ice cream parlor and plenty of parking. A good base for exploring the area.

Fantastic location, very central in Heimbach alongside being close to wonderful hiking routes. The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating, the sauna in the room was perfect and all in all it was a great stay!
