The Location is perfect. The hotel is incredibly comfortable, spacious and clean. The rooms are spacious, with stunning views over the lake and mountains. If you are looking to stay in a place where you can readily walk to all attractions, restaurants, cafes, bicycle rentals, boat and beach access, then this location may be a little out of the way. You should have a car. However, if you have a bike, it is easy to get around. Gmund is more of a villa and apartment town. The main activities along the Tegernsee are in the towns of Tegernsee and Rottach-Egern. The walk to the ferry boat is about 25 minutes.

A cozy place, great for hiking or walks. Wherever I ate, it was fine, and of course, the wonderful location on Lake Tegernsee was a delight. The BRB trains and the bus transfer were also reliable.

The landscape and location on Lake Tegernsee make Gmund an exceptionally beautiful travel destination. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities, from hiking on the Walberg mountain and cycling around the lake to challenging mountain bike tours in the area surrounding the Walberg. The local cuisine is characterized by charming traditional inns. Those who appreciate this will have a wonderful time at Lake Tegernsee.

We had a family room.

We had a family room. Four adults in two separate rooms with a toilet and shower. It was fine for two nights. Very quiet at night. Breakfast was very good. Fried or scrambled eggs were freshly prepared upon request.

We were very impressed with the staff and the excellent management. The hotel was finally a place where we could truly relax. The hotel's own sauna with relaxation room and solarium was very inviting, and the surroundings (especially the proximity to Lake Tegernsee) were beautiful! We discovered interesting places recommended by the staff that we would never have found on our own!

It has the potential to be a beautiful hotel, great breakfast (all locally sourced), nice common rooms (although not always available) , stylish and nice refurbishment. Great concept (inclusion, open mindedness) and the "Zuhör" Van in front of the door was amazing (a unique beautiful concept for more closeness and happiness amongst all people)... but we were still a bit disappointed

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful part of the world. Loved the food. Also, the owners and staff were very helpful in translating for me as I speak absolutely no German. I would recommend this hotel for people who just want to get away for a while and relax. Moosrain and the Eder hotel is just so quiet, and with the view of the Alps, I don't think a traveller could ask for much more.

Breakfast was very good, a little more fruit would have been nice (there were only apples but they were delicious). Unfortunately, the bar was closed when we arrived at 6 pm and we got the vouchers for a welcome drink but that wasnt possible to redeem. There was only one staff member at the hotel, which was a bit odd. He did his best to support us.
