Hiking in the Steinwald and Waldnaab valleys is suitable for all ages. Kemnath and Tirschenreuth are worth seeing. The stay at Hotel Aribo was very pleasant. Excellent food can be found in Kemnath at the Gasthof Zum goldenen Engel, and the Italian restaurant Mamma Maria in Erbendorf is unbeatable.

We mainly focused on Bayreuth and were completely occupied with it. Highly recommended. Aside from breakfast and dinner, we ate at restaurants in Bayreuth. Having our own transportation seems advantageous. We will definitely return at a more favorable time of year.

Don't forget: You're in the Upper Palatinate, a place where...

Don't forget: You're in the Upper Palatinate, a place where things aren't exactly bustling. But it offers a fantastic starting point for countless beautiful hiking and cycling/mountain biking trails that aren't overcrowded, with several mountain huts where you can stop for refreshments. And in the quiet and well-maintained town of Erbendorf, you'll find everything you need!

The room was very large and nicely appointed. Our large balcony overlooked the walking trail on the west side, where we could watch the sunset. The dining room provided excellent quality dinners and the breakfast buffet had a large variety of foods and drinks. We did not have a chance to take advantage of the spa facilities but a walk-through made us wish we had. The hotel is easy to access from a main road. Very quiet stream-side setting. The staff spoke excellent English and were very accommodating about making local appointments for us.

The room was one of the largest I’ve ever stayed in. The bathroom had a huge walk-in shower. The bed was extra wide (around 200x200 cm), which was very comfortable. The hotel offers garage parking for bicycles (we didn’t use it, but it’s a nice option). There’s a beautiful cycling path right next to the hotel.

Modern Hotel with spacious rooms and a warm atmosphere. In this Hotel disabled people are part of the staff. Thes service is excellent and super friendly! Good Restaurant and Breakfast.
