Large family room ‘slash’ apartment , so was very well appointed. Staff were brilliant, no issues, and the food in the restaurant was fantastic, would recommend for that alone Breakfast was enough to get going Would recommend for for than a nights stay of as a ‘base’ for exploring ..

The design is very nice, the room was very modern and cozy. I really liked the fancy shower head with different watering modes. There was more than everything for the short stay: mini-fridge, fan, smart tv, air conditioning, even iron and ironing board. They also offer free coffee, bretzels, sweets and water. I also appreciate the attention to details and the nice personnel, they even placed a cute greeting card with my name on the bed :) Location is also perfect. It was in the city center, so not so far away from the train station, shops and cafes, but even though it is located in quiet street which was very important for the good sleep. Speaking of that, the noise isolation is also good, I can’t hear my neighbors or any other outside noise.

Lovely area!

Lovely area! Leopoldshafen and Eggenstein are located right by the Rhine. Many excursion options and restaurants, along with swimming and bathing areas, are nearby. The area is spacious, beautiful, and flat, and ideal for cycling – you can have some great days here.

The fact that there's a suburban train station just a minute...

The fact that there's a suburban train station just a minute from Hotel Leo was a real plus. You could hardly hear it in the room. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area. The city offers a restaurant to suit every taste.

Since I was attending a demanding training course at KIT...

Since I was attending a demanding training course at KIT Karlsruhe, I didn't get to see much of EL, but after one or two walks, I also got the impression that there isn't that much to discover there. It was just meant to be a place to sleep.

The big plus of the hotel is its staff. They are extremely friendly and that always gives you a good feeling. The room was spotless and sufficiently equipped. They have a little restaurant on the first floor (closed on Mondays); nothing special but more of what you can find in more expensive hotels. It is a perfect location if you have KIT business (20 min to walk or 8 min by bus; don't take the tram; the last tram station is within the KIT campus and therefore non-public).

I had to visit KIT for work, location wise this hotel is very close to the Northern location of KIT in Karlsruhe.
