Easy and modern check in process. Super friendly staff. Nice and yummy breakfast, most of the groceries from local farmer. In general, the owner focuses on sustainability. Regio train station just 5 min, to walk and in 20 min your Hamburg downtown. Hotel has Superb parking facilities.

Buxtehude is one of my favourite towns in Germany.

Buxtehude is one of my favourite towns in Germany. It has a good range of shops including a lovely department store. There are some great restaurants and coffee shops. The Christmas markets are lively with a great atmosphere. The only downside I found this year was that the market has become more food and drink with none of the little nik-nak stalls for getting something as a keepsake or a quality German tree decoration. However I understand that this may no longer be viable for the stall holders. It would not put me off going back.

A thriving small town steeped in history! A beautiful old town, great shops (Stackmann!), and plenty of good restaurants. Plus, events like Steampunk! Otherwise, it has everything you need – schools, doctors, a hospital... perfect for a city break. And very close by: the Altes Land region with its fruit farms and shops...

A beautiful town close to Hamburg with an interesting history. Many buildings and lovingly restored places bring the past to life. From Finkenwerder, you can take the ferry directly to the Landungsbrücken piers in Hamburg harbor using a Deutschland-Ticket (Germany Ticket).

A charming little town with many historic buildings; the newer houses have mostly been well integrated into the local style. A variety of restaurants and lovely shops are located in a nearby pedestrian zone. A great base for exploring the Altes Land region. - Highly recommended!

Buxtehude is a charming little town worth seeing, with well-preserved half-timbered houses. Getting there by train is very time-consuming; hopefully, this is only a rare occurrence! The delay information was completely inadequate. The timetable was purely theoretical.

Very cozy appartement with a functional tea-kitchen and outdoor terrace. Clean and large rooms. The location was a big plus for us with Buxtehude altstadt within 7 minutes driving distance and Stade, Altes Land and Hamburg closeby. The hotel has a large field located opposite the road, where our kids had fun. Very friendly staff and great breakfast. We had 5 nights at Hanse Hotel Buxtehude and would not hesitate to come back another time.

As a place to stay on our way up and across Europe this hotel was ideal. Although it is on a busy road, our room was at the back and was quiet, with a view over fields. The food both at supper and at breakfast was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the bed comfortable. I couldn't easily have wished for more.
