What a lovely place, an unexpected gem, full of character. We had a trailer with bikes and the staff helped us push it and secure it in the courtyard. The rooms were atmospheric, a little dated, but did not affect the comfort. Lovely terrace to have a drink and food overlooking the lake.

An interesting place if you're interested in Baroque architecture. Overall, it's a somewhat lifeless and run-down little town. The location of the supermarkets and newer industrial buildings obscures the view of the worthwhile old buildings.

There's supposed to be a lot going on during peak season, but during the off-season, like when I was there, there's practically nothing happening. For a holiday, peak season is probably the best time to visit. However, hiking is always a great option.

Blieskastel is a small town with a few historic squares and buildings. The monastery, the orangery, and the castle church are very beautiful. The old town is small and could use some renovation; some parts are run-down. The destinations around Blieskastel are all easily accessible.

A visit to the baroque town of Blieskastel is particularly worthwhile in spring and summer. Hikers, cyclists, and those seeking relaxation will find an ideal destination in the Blies Valley. Historical sites, the beautiful Blies Valley, and excellent culinary offerings make it a worthwhile trip. (Note: always check the food menu – there are often very good deals...)

Blieskastel is a baroque town with a small but interesting old town steeped in history. It is progressive, and its traffic management system is currently being modernized. It is located not far from the border between Alsace-Lorraine and France, and also near the Palatinate region.

Just out of town (around a 5 min bike or 12-15min walk), the location was perfect. The hotel was quiet and perfect for deep sleep - just what I needed after a big cycling day. Theres good bike storage as well. The room was impeccably clean, tea & coffee was a lovely touch, and everything was super. Justinya is an absolutely fantastic host, it was a delight to meet her and the team behind this fantastic hotel. Thankyou Justinya!
