FAQs about hotels in Prague

Discover the Magic of Prague

The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale façade of this Bohemian city intact.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.

Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.

The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.

Flights arriving at Prague Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city centre after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

The Jewish quarter was very interesting.

The Jewish quarter was very interesting. The Jerusalem Synagogue is an excellent museum of Bohemian Jewry. The restaurants are plentiful and caters to everybody's taste. The cobbled strets are difficult for wheelchair users and carers. There are trams everywhere. We ate in a Czech restaurant serving traditional cooking that haad been established over 100 years. As it was full of Czech people it was doing everything right. The ghouash was wonderful. One disadvantage is that cash os very much the preferred metoid of payment.

The center is under construction in many spots.

The center is under construction in many spots. I chose half a day guided tour (walk, bus, boat) - it gave me a good quick overview. In the evening, I chose Medieval themed event with food and drinks. Food was good, beer was ok, shot of honey liquor was great, wines were not. I walked around the city center in between those two exploring local cuisine. Many tourists everywhere. I recommend Mama Lucy to grab a bite, it is right on the side of the old town center.

So many wonderful things to do for the entire family or generations of family depending on what you're after from entertainment, culture, and R&R, to peaceful walks, great food and fairly cheap drinks. Prague's public transport system means you can get anywhere quickly and easily without any real hassles.

Very walkable city. Interesting architecture.

Very walkable city. Interesting architecture. Lots to do particularly if you like the outdoors. Really enjoyed the astronomical tower at Klementinum but also the guided tour at old town hall. Castle tour interesting as well. I have seen a lot of European cathedrals but the St Vitus in Prague was different and very interesting. As for restaurants, if you are a vegetarian, it is hard to find good food options. The restaurants here are very meat focused (particularly pork, duck and beef).

Very beautiful town, nice museums, a lot to see, old city is a must visit. Monuments are great, public transport also very good. Many shops, good shopping, but the best was the food and beer in almost all restaurants... no diet in Prague...

Very nice hotel. We opted for the economy double rooms. Whilst they weren't amazing looking or luxurious, they were spacious and clean and very well presented, especially for the cheap price. The member of staff at reception was exceptional. Extremely polite and helpful and went out of his way to help us out. He was a credit to the company. Very good location just 10 minutes walk from the main old town square. I would recommend this hotel if you're on a budget.

Excellent location at the National Museum next to two metro lines (metro station is just in front of the hotel) and in a walking distance from Old Town square and other city centre attraction points. I arrived late and saw how busy and loud it was outside at the Wenceslas square, but in my room which was facing the square I did not hear any noise from outside. The room was comfortable, well-eqipped, with interesting design. Personnel was very nice and helpful.

Perfect in all ways, Location was next to the Old Town Square in a beautiful courtyard, the room and bathroom was very clean, comfortable and very stylish. Breakfast was also excellent with a very wide range of food available. The service in the hotel from checking right through to leaving was first rate. This was the 11th hotel we had stayed in in a period of 6 weeks in the US, UK, Ireland and Czech Republic and it was the best.

The staff were very friendly, and the price was great value for money. The location is excellent—just a short walk to Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square. Shopping is convenient, and there are plenty of good restaurants and pubs nearby. I personally had a good rest, but the hotel thoughtfully provided earplugs just in case of noise.

Breakfast was excellent. Great choice of food. The location of the hotel couldn’t have been better. Just beside Wenceslas Square and a short walk to the old town square and Charles Bridge. Our room was spacious and well appointed.
