The hotel is really authentic, wonderfully refers back to the ages when it was the Germania Hotel. The hotel is rather in a clam, more silent street, but only walking distnce from all places of sightseeing. If you arrive by car, please note that you can only leave your vehicle in front of the hotel while you unload your luggage. After that, the hotel staff will take your car to a suitable parking lot further away. It's a nice gesture to offer welcome snacks while the check-in process is underway. Rooms are spacy, the restaurant is with wild choice and the staff is super helpful. Wellness is modern and well equipped. It was a very kind gesture to set up an Xbox in the playroom for our children, even though it meant having to get a cable for it.

The area is great for hiking.

The area is great for hiking. Around the nearby town of Nejdek, you can do a great hiking tour which departs from the St. Martina Catholic church and leads you up to Tysovské vrch, which is almost 1000m above the sea level. There is a lookout tower from which you have a great view when the sky is clear. From there leads a trail all the way back to Nejdek.

There isn't much in the village itself.

There isn't much in the village itself. However, the riding stable has a lot to offer, and the restaurant is highly recommended. There's also a beautiful lake nearby. The ski resorts and shops are easily accessible by car.

Small town with no tourist attractions, only one proper, simple restaurant, nice recreational opportunities by the lake, good train connections every two hours to Karlovy Vary or Johann-Georgenstadt, shopping facilities near the accommodation, tourist destinations can be reached quickly.

Cute little place, perfect for a short trip into nature and great for a day trip to Karlovy Vary by car or even by bike, as the Karlsroute (a beautiful cycle path!) passes very close by.

We used it in the winter season as an approach to the Plešivec ski slope and walks in the nearby area. We visited Horní Blatná, where there are very nice circuits for cross-country skiing, skiing, sledding and hiking. I can recommend horse riding directly at the place of stay.
