The hotel is very modern. The room was very spacious and the beds incredibly comfortable. The position is very good, close to the beach area of Praia, where one can find nice restaurants. We were suggested to call a taxi after dark, even for a short distance. No issue during the day. The breakfast in the morning was superb. The best in our 14 days in Cabo verde. We got to know that Maria Julia is a well known cook, but unfortunately the restaurant was closed when we were there. Such a pity!

Hotel is very nice furnished, with new furniture. Room was very clean, they really take care about. Staff is just great, they were very helpful with all requests. Breakfast is nice, they did upon request amazing espresso as well. The property has also very good restaurant, specialized for grilled fish and seafood. I can highly recommend lunch or dinner there.

Excellent daily breakfast. Nice pool and ocean views, lovely location. Friendly & helpful staff. Everything was clean, room was comfortable. Wifi was ok but not the best. Good options for food at the pool side snack bar and the restaurant open in evenings for dinner. Overall great experience and would recommend.

a small village with character and a history that is not always glorious due to slavery, but interesting to discover; the old fort is well restored and there are some beautiful walks along the ocean; a lively centre with 2 good restaurants on the beach;

We loved our stay in Cidade Velha.

We loved our stay in Cidade Velha. It's a small, peaceful village. You really need to soak it up. We took colectivos to get around. They're always available. There are also some good little restaurants. We often went to Kasa Antu. It was our go-to spot. The people are lovely.

Beautiful town with a lot of history.

Beautiful town with a lot of history. We stayed there for 3 nights but from there we went to visit other places on the island. The town is seen quickly but it is highly recommended to let yourself be captivated by its tranquility and spend time contemplating the sea and the life of the town.

Cidade Velha is a charming little town with friendly people.

Cidade Velha is a charming little town with friendly people. We especially liked the old Portuguese fort overlooking the town, but also the fertile valley of Rua Banana. The small beach isn't ideal for swimming, but you can find good, fresh fish everywhere!
