"Escondida" (hidden) is really not exaggerated. The Airbnb is really an oasis is an otherwise rather ordinary and rather busy city what Alajuela is. But within the Hacienda, it's all peace and quiet, with a wonderful view on a rather large garden an a swimming pool with the perfect temperature. The rooms are impeccably clean and spacy. But what interested me at least equally was the fact that I discovered actually flies of the fly family I am specialized in, which was a great surprise. Hence the score 10/10 for our residence.

Excellent location, just about 15 minutes from the airport. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great advice on everything we asked. Our room was very spacious, and the beds were super comfortable. We especially loved the terrace and the delicious breakfast served directly to our room, which we enjoyed with a lovely view of the jungle. Overall, everything was perfect, room was very clean and we would definitely recommend this place!

I loved the fact that’s it’s a resort but it’s in the nature and not crowded, like a boutique resort. Wonderful room, amazing view, nice environment and atmosphere. Good breakfast with a view. You can hike to waterfalls from the hotel, inside the resort ! And there is a little farm with animals, my child loved it. Not far away from the airport so that’s very convenient when we arrive/depart from San Jose and there are plenty of things to do around, including visiting the volcan Poas.

The place is clean, and very cozy it really feels like home. The host was amazing, always friendly and attentive. The location is very central, so everything is close by, and the airport shuttle service was a huge plus, super convenient. I would definitely recommend it and would stay here again without a doubt.

We really enjoyed that the room was really nice (we had the Junior suit), with a good AC, a king bed and a large bathroom (with a large shower that had a really good pressure 😁). The interior of the hotel was also really nice, with different areas to sit and a lot of greenery. The breakfast sitting area had an open roof, so we could enjoy the really nice breakfast (fruit and a full meal, coffee) while having some sun, a little breeze and hearing the birds chirping. We felt very safe in the hotel and the stuff was amazing - very kind, friendly and helpful! They had our towels changed every day (which is honestly so nice when being in this tropical country). The location was also good since it is in the north of the Alajuela center, which made it easy when we went on the different tours (volcano, coffee farm, La Paz etc.).
