Hotel Pibi Boreal is ideal for short stays if you don’t want to travel immediately after landing in Costa Rica. We were warmly welcomed by the host, who picked us up directly from the airport and drove us to the hotel. Upon arrival, we arranged breakfast for the following morning, which we enjoyed on the balcony of our room—a lovely, relaxing start to the day. Everything was spotless, and we even took a peaceful walk around the beautiful property. Absolutely glorious—highly recommended!

The place is clean, and very cozy it really feels like home. The host was amazing, always friendly and attentive. The location is very central, so everything is close by, and the airport shuttle service was a huge plus, super convenient. I would definitely recommend it and would stay here again without a doubt.

We really enjoyed that the room was really nice (we had the Junior suit), with a good AC, a king bed and a large bathroom (with a large shower that had a really good pressure 😁). The interior of the hotel was also really nice, with different areas to sit and a lot of greenery. The breakfast sitting area had an open roof, so we could enjoy the really nice breakfast (fruit and a full meal, coffee) while having some sun, a little breeze and hearing the birds chirping. We felt very safe in the hotel and the stuff was amazing - very kind, friendly and helpful! They had our towels changed every day (which is honestly so nice when being in this tropical country). The location was also good since it is in the north of the Alajuela center, which made it easy when we went on the different tours (volcano, coffee farm, La Paz etc.).

The hotelstaff are helpful and speak english well. The Hotel are perfect to stay when you arrive late in San Jose or when you have a early flight out. It is situated close to the airport. Breakfast are served early and it makes it nice for early departure.The free taxi service offered was a great incentive to stay in the hotel. Swimmingpool was a nice bonus after a long day spend in central town. Will definitely do the same drill next time when enter or exit Costa Rica.
