Second time here after 6 years. Still the same very pleasant motel-style accomodation, but renovated - especially the river zone, that is kind of a mini natural park that alone is worth the stay.

A wonderful place surrounded by nature! The property is beautifully maintained and full of charm. The owner is extremely kind and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful environment. Highly recommended!

We loved this place.   The rainforest view from our elevated cabin did not disappoint.   The thing we had not appreciated is, that for the price, you get all your meals with home cooked food and loads of time with the super enthusiastic Karina as your guide for early morning forest hikes,  night time torch lit safaris around the farm and for visits to the nearby national parks.    If you’re up for throwing yourself into a pretty muddy rainforest located, nature surrounded farm experience you will have a great time. Book at least two nights so you don't miss out on the extra activities.  Some photos from our visit attached.

It all started with a nice and warm welcome from Huberth and Anyara. The place was super clean and had everything you needed to be considered a Home-Kitchen and cookware, clean bedsheets, bathroom amenities, towels...everything. The rooms were very spacious, and the living room had a lot of natural light. We had morning coffee on the balcony while enjoying nature. Also included is a very nice pool which we used every single day. It's an must have for all people visiting Costa Rica. We had a really great time.

The hosts welcomed us very warmly and helped us with booking our tours to Rio Celeste and Cano Negro (which we had with Juan Rio - one of the nicest tour guides we‘ve ever had!). The tree houses are just amazing and inmidst of nature. We‘ve got the chance to hear and see jungle‘s wildlife and you even have the option to swim in the Rio Celeste near the accomodation for free! Also big thanks to Odir, who offered us a free ride at his new opened adventure park! We would recommend everyone to stay at the Katira tree houses, when visiting Rio Celeste!

The location of the property is not bad, roads a little bit...

The location of the property is not bad, roads a little bit rough but not horrible. Main town (Guatuso) was around 15 minutes and you can find everything you need, at least basic things. Things are expensive and not too many choices. If you like mangos and pineapples, you will be in the right spot. We were doing missionary work, so really didn't visit any attraction but I know there is few attractions close, like Rio Celeste, El Tenorio & Arenal Volcanos. Its our second time in the area, and yes I recommend it
