What a beautiful place with wonderful people. The best part about staying here is their direct support to the local community - they donate more than half of their profits towards educational projects in the region. Therefore, when staying in this incredible place, you are directly making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. The breakfast was superb, and we also loved the "Honesty" area where you recorded what you took, and it would be added to your bill at the end of your stay - so you did not have to go and order a glass of wine, or a beer. You would take it and write down the details for them. The location is absolutely perfect. We could easily walk to restaurants and the center of town. We had a car, however when we did different activities on one day, they were able to organize a taxi for us. The staff is wonderful and incredibly welcoming and helpful. We really cannot say enough good things about this special place. It is an inspiration, and we would love to see more places like this in the world. They would always have our support.

Javier, Roger and the team were brilliant. They went out of their way to make us feel very special - it was my boyfriend's birthday and they decorated the room to help me surprise him. The tent is spacious, the bed comfortable and humongous and everything you need to make a quick meal if needed. You are surrounded by the forest and you fall asleep to the sound of the forest, wind and rain. We didn't see any animals except a couple of spiders but you hear the birds in trees the moment the sun goes up.

The views were outstanding. Spacious room with nice facilities. Chris , the owner is absolutely charming and helpful. Location just outside Santa Elena with a very good restaurant 100m walk. Well stocked supermarket just back on the main road for breakfast provisions

The most amazing hotel! Loved everything about it - the fantastic location (those views from the restaurant balcony!), the lovely helpful staff, delicious meals at the restaurant and brewery, beautiful clean rooms, watching humming birds from the hot-tub. So many little touches that made the stay special.

The location was perfect for our requirements - only a short drive to the Monterverde Ecological Park, the El Tigre waterfalls and a night hike we'd booked. Bars and restaurants were about 5 mins drive away and there was a good range to choose from. There was plenty of parking at the accommodation and only a very small number of rooms (5?) - also a jacuzzi outside that was on and hot 24/7. The room was clean and the bathroom very nice - a good supply of hot and cold running water, a fridge in the room, a small electric heater (which we did need!) and internet was reliable.
