El Colibri is a true hidden gem a hop skip and jump from the amazingly beautiful Playa Carrillo. This is our third stay at this wonderful hotel. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we felt welcomed and treated as family. The room was spacious and exceeded our expectations. The beds were comfortable, and the little kitchenette had all the conveniences to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The two pools were just right for a dip to get out of the midday sun and with the beach a mere five-minute walk away was so convenient for an early morning swim and walk. Breakfast, which was included, was a choice of local or American with a la carte choices as well. We had dinner one night at their wonderful restaurant where my steak was done to perfection. Did I say we had a wonderful stay? :-)

Breakfast was continental. Fruit was excellent. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Room was clean and welcoming. Shower had great pressure. The grounds and pool are well kept. The whole place has been completely renovated.
