Above anything else, we cannot thank Anouk and Kevin for going above and beyond to ensure that our family of 6 has the best experience possible in Costa Rica. They are truly amazing. The next time we come, we will need to make sure that we stay longer. Considering the remoteness of this property, it did not make sense to stay only 2 nights like we did. I would have loved to do another kayaking in the mangrove forests, spent an entire afternoon chilling in a hummock, or taken a walk in the neighborhood for bird-watching. At night, there were fireflies everywhere, and you hear howler monkeys in the morning.... It was magical. I also have to comment about the food. Kevin accommodated all our requests (portion size, vegetarian) and still made all of us very happy. He uses local produce and gives his own twist to dishes, which all of us enjoyed quite a bit.

The staff, the meals, the setting, the birdlife, the beaches, the remoteness of the location. The staff was extremely helpful in organizing trips and boat pickups to go snorkeling and to Corcovado NP. The people were very sweet and helpful. It was our favorite place we stayed in Costa Rica.

Great location. The room has everything you need, including a warm shower. The view was stunning, and the tree in front of the balcony is full of iguanas. We didn’t use the kitchen but it has everything you need if you want to prepare a proper meal / breakfast. We didn’t see any reviews when we booked, but we can absolutely recommend this place if you’re looking for a stay in Drake Bay. The owner also works for a tour agency, so he can help you plan any trip.

Drake Bay is a remote yet breathtaking destination, and our stay at Natural Drake Bay Hotel made our visit truly unforgettable. We spent four nights here as the final leg of our Costa Rica trip, hoping to find a comfortable place that would enhance our experience of this faraway corner of the world. I’m thrilled to say we couldn’t have chosen a better place. Natural Drake Bay is a family-run hotel situated in a stunning location, perched perfectly to offer beautiful views of the bay. Both the pool and restaurant offer stunning views of the bay, creating a mesmerizing scene —at one point, we even saw whales jumping from the water! The beach is also just a 3 minute walk. Patricia, Daniel, and their team, particularly Victor, provide a luxurious experience. Throughout our stay, we felt very well cared for. Everyday, when you arrive, Patricia welcomes you with refreshing, beautifully scented cold towels, which is a wonderful treat after a hot day. Victor then serves the most exquisite fruit juices I’ve ever tasted. Even when activities (Corcovado Park visit, Snorkeling in Caño Island, ….) started at the crack of dawn, they were there to prepare breakfast for you The hotel takes great pride in highlighting local cuisine at dinner, with top quality produce exquisitely cooked. The rooms offer views of the surroundings, which were full of life (Birds, Iguanas, Monkeys) and relaxing in the hammocks was a spectacle in itself. Toucans would perch in the tree next to the cabin, while showering. The toiletries were of high quality, adding to the overall sense of luxury. In summary, Natural Drake Bay Hotel provided us with an exceptional experience, combining comfort, natural beauty, and warm hospitality.

We stayed here for the last two days of our honeymoon. It was the cherish on top. Very warm welcoming by Hellen and Steven and family. They took good care of us, making sure we had all the equipment for our tour in Corcovado national park and arranged the tour and transportation. The room was very nice, clean and private with a fantastic view. We saw a lot of animals close by. The food was outstanding! The best stay we had during our honeymoon in Costa Rica.

Quality food, great staff Staff did put together a lot of stuff to do for us and every thing we asked for was settled in a record time. We were there for new years eve and the tuna was to die for !!! we saw toucans and other great wildlife in our three days at the property Thanks Roy for putting up with us !

We felt so very welcomed by the super friendly owner Eliana and her house is cozy, beautiful and unique. Situated at the River Sierpe and in a lush garden we were surrounded by the stunning nature. We went on an early morning boat trip for three hours organized by Eliana and saw lots of different birds, some crocodiles, some caymans and two species of monkeys (capuchin and squirrel monkeys). After the boat trip Eliana indulged us with a delicious breakfast. We would have loved to stay longer... Thank you so much! ♡

It was impeccably clean, the views were amazing, the food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. The tours were great and we were able to see a lot of wildlife.

It is even prettier than in photos. The pool is spectacular thanks to the wild environment. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was varied. The hotel is very well maintained. The location is good, close to the beach up a steep hill and close to supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The food is delicious and the girls in the restaurant are incredible, they treated us with all the love and kindness of Ticos, always going above and beyond to help us. We would love to return to this hotel as it was one of our best lodging experiences during our trip to Costa Rica. We feel that for the price we paid, we got much more than in other accommodations.
