Norman (our host) was super welcoming, always responsive and very helpful. The accommodation is cute, surrounded by nature and very quiet, with a secure parking place inside the property. Grecia is a wonderful little town.

Grecia is a wonderful little town. I was here to find a new home so I was looking throughout the area and visited Atenas and Naranjo as well. We decided on a place near Naranjo. In Grecia I ate at several local Sodas which were fantastic and a more upscale restaurant called Bariles which was fantastic. POPs ice cream shop is also highly recommended. In Atenas I ate at a really good Italian restaurant called Firenze. The Pasta Puttanesca was cooked to perfection. When driving watch for motorcycles.

The town might appeal to some, but it's not my cup of tea...

The town might appeal to some, but it's not my cup of tea for CR. High population density, loud, lots of traffic. The main town square, around the park and church, isn't as peaceful as other CR towns and there were numerous panhandlers. We didn't find any stores or places to eat worth mentioning.

Grecia is a very good base to visit the area. Very clean, and reasonable priced. We took the local bus everywhere and it was very doable. Also you can find a lots of tours, or a local can drive you at a very reasonable price.

The people are very cordial and helpful.

The people are very cordial and helpful. The town has most of the amenities that one would look for in a foreign country. We enjoyed eating at Cafe Delicias #1. We were able to navigate in a car after we discovered the one way streets and the parking rules. We are not young people, I am 82 and my wife is 78. We are looking forward to spending at least 6 months next year living in the area.

Grecia was not as expected from literature I read because of it's size and amount of traffic. The main down town area was very busy with bad sidewalks which made walking the town difficult. Lovely cathedral and park and great restaurants. Local people were friendly and helpful. We ate at Los Barriles twice because the food was so delicious and very reasonably priced. La Terraza Bed & Breakfast was the nicest hotel we stayed at in the Grecia area.

We had a wonderful time in Hotel Mango Valley. The owners were very friendly and took care of all our needs. The breakfast was freshly prepared and was served on a patio with a wonderful view. Our bungalow was clean and even equipped with a little kitchenette.
