It was amazing! The details are on the little things. The beds were extremely comfortable, like a clowd after a day of adventure and you need to recharge. The staff were lovely, always with a smile and always so kind and knowledgeable. It was an amazing welcome to beautiful San Andres. A few amazing amenities: - towel service for the beach - foot washing station for when you return from the beach and are all sandy - they can get help you get a bike/moped rental right at the hotel. Super convenient. Thank you so much for making me and my wife feel welcome.

It's clearly a new open hotel and they're still finishing some details. The pool area is still under construction and some things are still missing. But everything was fine, the breakfast is very good and the location is also good. I believe that next month everything will be ready and improved and even better. The best thing is that in the rooms you don't listen the outside noise.

We stayed at The Providence Boutique Hotel for our honeymoon, and everything was absolutely perfect. The peaceful atmosphere, stunning views, and charming setting made it the ideal place to relax and enjoy every moment. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always available to help — they truly made us feel welcome and cared for. Every detail of our stay was thoughtful and well taken care of. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious — every meal was a treat! And the view of the infinite sea from the hotel is simply breathtaking. We arrived at Casa de las Flores last minute, because we missed our plane for Providencia. Casa de las Flores was a good choice on San Andres island. It is a bit further away from the city center, but you can easily get there (20 min drive). It is nice & calm and we had our "private" beach in front of the house! Nice swimming pool. We paid extra to have a double room with sea view; but this was worth it. The owner speaks French and gave us lots of tips to visit the island.

Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, excellent food, and friendly service. The location was perfect for Scuba, exploring the island by walking, cycling and with a “buggy” . The family running the place have kept it in very good condition. They also helped us to sort out any problems.

Honestly what we liked most were the staff. From the warm receptionist to the lady which we came to think of as our Tia, who cleaned our room and tidied our beds each morning (and even did our laundry), everything about our stay was made better because of the people who run the hotel.

Only go if you like chaos, dirt, and loud music every 10 meters. This is not a destination if you want to rest and see nice beaches. The people are completely disrespectful and drive like maniacs. Apparently is completely acceptable in Colombia to bring your own Bluetooth speaker to the beach and turn it on at max volume. The problem is that everyone has the same great idea so you end up with five speakers less than 20 meters away from you. This is not a good beach destination at all.

You should accept the typically Carribean circumstances (...

You should accept the typically Carribean circumstances ( reggea, little shabby, motorbikes) and you will have a lovely stay there. Everything is within walking distance but you can rent a buggy or bike to go around. There are colourful festivals like the Emancipation Day or the August 7 Carneval in San Luis. Do not miss the Aquarium and Johnny Cay! The best beaches are in San Luis.

The airport is an utter disaster.

The airport is an utter disaster. In Colombia, I have normally come across very polite and helpful officials. San Andres is the exception. The airport officials are cold, rude and unhelpful. There is also a stupid rule where visitors go through 'immigration' despite already being in the country. The officials demand onward travel and hotel accommodation. the airport is stiflingly hot and is utterly unbearable. On our third night on the island, I thought I heard firecrackers going off so went on the balcony. They were actually gunshots and I only realised this when the place was swarming with armed police two minutes later. I would not visit the island again and would not recommend it to others.

As a civil engineer and knowing that sewage from the town is pumped into the sea I would not go in the water on this side of the island unless I could see some independent water testing results. This goes for any large city on the sea. But the pool was great and I tested the water to find it was always within tolerance. There is something for everyone on San Andres and, being quite small, a taxi can take you around it in 2 hours for 250,000 peso - about £50. I travel solo around the world and I would say that the vast majority of Colombians, like most nationslities, are very kind and helpful. As its an island with a strong police presence, I would say its a lot safer than most European cities

The island was great for my husband because he loves to scuba and the water is a wonderful place to see a variety of sea life. The island itself seemed more run down since the last time we had visited and prices had increased significantly for the same tours. Our favorite activity is to rent a mula (like a golf cart) and just drive around the island road, stopping where we want. The tour of the mangroves is really nice but it was up to 160,000 COP per person. We had already done it the last time so we didn't do it again this time. I feel the food is expensive for what you get -- we end up eating at Dominos for the best value.

San Andrés is such a bit place but the weather can be quite unpredictable. A lot of attractions will close when it's windy or rainy, so it's good to plan your trip and add one or two days just in case the weather is not the best when you go there.

We went in a group of 4, my parents, partner and myself. Upon arrival my parents mentioned that they celebrated their honeymoon 40 years ago in San Andrés, the hotel of pure good will upgraded their room for a suite which I thought it was a great gesture. Facilities were superb, great wooden structures not corroded by the salty breeze, reliably wi-fi, beautiful gardens, well maintained property and facilities, excellent pool, breakfast range was diverse and tasty. Also, hot showers and tv channels were provided.

Beautiful Hotel with a lot of potential, still under renovations, very close to Malecon and city centre (waking distance) friendly staff specially all the ladies working in the breakfast area, room service and front desk. when we left Alina Robinson, Paola Herrera and Cila Rizo check us out, they were very helpful, we had a bit of a hiccup when we arrived with the front desk lady, but we managed to enjoy ourselves of what the beautiful Island of San Andres has to offer. Pool was clean.

I had a fantastic stay at Prixma Hotel! The location is unbeatable, making it easy to explore the island and enjoy all that San Andrés has to offer. The facilities were spotless, and it’s clear they take pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment. Nice location in walking distance to the airport, great pool area, and probably the best shower in terms of water pressure and temperature adjusting I’ve had in whole Colombia 😄 Bed was comfortable too and everything was clean. We could also store our luggage after checkout
