Very new, clean and fresh with a luxurious feeling even though the price was reasonable. The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms absolutely quiet so you sleep very well. The staff was very very helpful. Gilly always had a warm welcoming smile and helped with everything we needed. The location is excellent right in the center with 5 min walk to the beach. Perfect place to stay and we stayed here both before and after our Providencia visit.

The hotel is very nice, clean and new. There’s a nice pool, the bar and restaurant are great. The breakfast is excellent. There are local foods and vegetarian options. Everyday there’s something new and different. The room is big and accommodated very well four of us. But the staff is the best part. Everyone is so nice and provided all the help we needed. Some people speak English, but even who didn’t speak English or Portuguese made their best to understand and help us. They were very warm and made us feel welcome in the hotel and in the island. Shout out to Betani and Ricardo who made our trip one hundred times better. Betani helped us even before we landed, she made sure I had all the info I needed, even helped with restaurants, tours, money exchange and airport transfer. Ricardo who works at the restaurant is a very nice person, he’s very courteous, treated us so well.

It's clearly a new open hotel and they're still finishing some details. The pool area is still under construction and some things are still missing. But everything was fine, the breakfast is very good and the location is also good. I believe that next month everything will be ready and improved and even better. The best thing is that in the rooms you don't listen the outside noise.

We arrived at Casa de las Flores last minute, because we missed our plane for Providencia. Casa de las Flores was a good choice on San Andres island. It is a bit further away from the city center, but you can easily get there (20 min drive). It is nice & calm and we had our "private" beach in front of the house! Nice swimming pool. We paid extra to have a double room with sea view; but this was worth it. The owner speaks French and gave us lots of tips to visit the island.

Honestly what we liked most were the staff. From the warm receptionist to the lady which we came to think of as our Tia, who cleaned our room and tidied our beds each morning (and even did our laundry), everything about our stay was made better because of the people who run the hotel.

Only go if you like chaos, dirt, and loud music every 10 meters. This is not a destination if you want to rest and see nice beaches. The people are completely disrespectful and drive like maniacs. Apparently is completely acceptable in Colombia to bring your own Bluetooth speaker to the beach and turn it on at max volume. The problem is that everyone has the same great idea so you end up with five speakers less than 20 meters away from you. This is not a good beach destination at all.

You should accept the typically Carribean circumstances (...

You should accept the typically Carribean circumstances ( reggea, little shabby, motorbikes) and you will have a lovely stay there. Everything is within walking distance but you can rent a buggy or bike to go around. There are colourful festivals like the Emancipation Day or the August 7 Carneval in San Luis. Do not miss the Aquarium and Johnny Cay! The best beaches are in San Luis.

The airport is an utter disaster. In Colombia, I have normally come across very polite and helpful officials. San Andres is the exception. The airport officials are cold, rude and unhelpful. There is also a stupid rule where visitors go through 'immigration' despite already being in the country. The officials demand onward travel and hotel accommodation. the airport is stiflingly hot and is utterly unbearable. On our third night on the island, I thought I heard firecrackers going off so went on the balcony. They were actually gunshots and I only realised this when the place was swarming with armed police two minutes later. I would not visit the island again and would not recommend it to others.

As a civil engineer and knowing that sewage from the town is pumped into the sea I would not go in the water on this side of the island unless I could see some independent water testing results. This goes for any large city on the sea. But the pool was great and I tested the water to find it was always within tolerance. There is something for everyone on San Andres and, being quite small, a taxi can take you around it in 2 hours for 250,000 peso - about £50. I travel solo around the world and I would say that the vast majority of Colombians, like most nationslities, are very kind and helpful. As its an island with a strong police presence, I would say its a lot safer than most European cities

The island was great for my husband because he loves to scuba and the water is a wonderful place to see a variety of sea life. The island itself seemed more run down since the last time we had visited and prices had increased significantly for the same tours. Our favorite activity is to rent a mula (like a golf cart) and just drive around the island road, stopping where we want. The tour of the mangroves is really nice but it was up to 160,000 COP per person. We had already done it the last time so we didn't do it again this time. I feel the food is expensive for what you get -- we end up eating at Dominos for the best value.

San Andrés is such a bit place but the weather can be quite unpredictable. A lot of attractions will close when it's windy or rainy, so it's good to plan your trip and add one or two days just in case the weather is not the best when you go there.

Cli's place is a hidden gem in San Andres. I loved everything there, starting with the people from the posada: they were all very attentive and caring. Truly special people. I also loved the room, very nicely decorated in line with the style of the island and is the only place in Colombia where I slept like a baby. I would recommend this place 1 millions time. Internet connection in my room was excellent. A special thanks also to Feliciana, one of the sweetest person I ever met.

Amazing hosts! Helped with everything I needed and even more. Very friendly and nice people, helped me to book my tours on the island, helped me with transportation and renting a bike, and took care of me when I felt bad - the best overall experience of staying in a hotel in my life. The hotel is cozy, well located close to the city but further from the major noise, amazing view. The kitchen is simple but useful if you want to cook yourself. Clean and comfortable room and bathroom.

The location is perfect! We could walk from the Hotel to any part of the island even the airport is so close, you could walk to the Hotel yes or yes. The pool and the activities were okay, you can spend your time in the pool, and it's a good time. Also, the central beach is in front of the hotel so it's a really good experience. The night events were also good, but sometimes you felt quite repetitive.

The position is perfect, at the front desk there is someone only after 2 pm but the staff is very gentle. If your flight is after check out time, you can enjoy the beach and there is the possibility to have a (cold) shower at the hotel, they also provided us clean towels. There is the air conditioning in the room, perfect to reduce the humidity (very high in san Andrés)
