Cosmos Tatacoa is a very nice hotel calm and clean with a very nice swimming pool, the location is perfect to go visit Tatacoa désert. The owners very professionals ! The breakfast is very good always fresh and tasty 😋. A special thanks to our personal guide to Tatacoa desert. FRANCISCO Martinez ! He is a very professional guide and a great photographer! The staff was really nice. It's located 500 m from the observatory (there are 5 observatories in Tatacoa desert) which is convenient if you want to do the star gazing. It's also 5 min walk from a few restaurants. They offer breakfast, luncb and dinner for a small charge. They rent bikes and offer a tour to the Grey and Red desert which we took as it was nice hearing about the fornations, how the desert (or rather dry tropical forest) came to be. There's a lot of different types of birds in the garden. Since it's in a desert, there's no electricity, meaning there's no fridge, but they have ice available if you want to cool your drinks. There's no wifi which we didn't mind as it was nice to relax and just enkoy the nature. Staff was very helpful with organizing the transport back to Villaviejas. The room was nice and quite spacious, clean, but very hot (which is to be expected in the middle of the desert). There's a fan in the room.

We had a very warm welcome and instructions for visiting the Tatacoa desert. The hotel is the most clean space we’ve ever encountered in Colombia. It was so good maintained. We loved the swimming pool to cool down. Breakfast were fresh eggs, juice, hot chocolate, coffee and some fruits. Room was spacious, good (cold) shower. Our room was also daily cleaned. We could also park the car safely inside. It’s only a 10min drive to visit the desert. Restaurants and small shops are within 5minutes by foot. Excellent location.

This hotel was great value. Right on the edge of the desert to go to the red and grey desert as well as the night sky observatories. Breakfast was good, thank you to Katherine who stayed up late for us to arrive and helped us with some late night issues. Pool was nice to relax in, bed was comfortable and air conditioning was working and needed in the heat.
