Beautiful remote setting in the mountains with access to private natural pools. Solano and Melissa were fantastic hosts, very kind and welcoming and cooked incredible food. We spent an afternoon with Solano who taught us all about making chocolate (we got to eat loads too!) and gave us a tour of their permaculture farm. The area is remote, there are a few other hostels in the area to get lunch and some short hikes to do. Very glad we stayed here.

We stayed a week at this small family run hostel 5km up the hill from Minca. The views are incredible. Many birds, including Toucans, can be viewed from the terrace. Our room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom a bit of a squeeze. Very homely. Very tranquil. Jose and his family are extremely friendly and helpful and made our visit memorable. The meals are simple and varied. If you’re fit and enthusiastic there are several good trails further into the hills. The small pool is welcome after a hot day in the rainforest. Motorbike taxis are frequent to and from Minca. Highly recommended.

The best place we have stayed in colombia. The family are the nicest people and did everything to make us feel at home. The home cooked meals were the best food we have eaten in 2 months of backpacking. We also did a tour to tayrona national park that was organized by the owner. This was the fantastic as we avoided al the queues and ended being the very first people to enter the park. Sensational. The place is a dream. The natural pool is beautiful. The pet dogs and the pet ducks are lovely. There was also a rescued horse who lived within the grounds who was very friendly popped her head in to the bungalow every now and then to say hello. The room was perfect and the bed was 5* comfortable. We loved this place and the value for money is incredible. Thank you, Nelson and your family for the time we had.

The best place we have stayed in colombia. The family are the nicest people and did everything to make us feel at home. The home cooked meals were the best food we have eaten in 2 months of backpacking. We also did a tour to tayrona national park that was organized by the owner. The pet dogs and the pet ducks are lovely. There was also a rescued horse who lived within the grounds who was very friendly popped her head in to the bungalow every now and then to say hello.
