This is a really nice hostel/homestay. It has a great vibe and is well looked after by Tracey and her cleaning team. There is a lovely big open-plan kitchen which guests are encouraged to use. Ample fridges and a shelf of stuff left over from previous guests. The territory is lovely and spacious and the pool is a welcome place to relax. There is an on-site scuba school (140k for a session in the pool and then over the road see Poseidon in the cove) (We found slightly cheaper 110k for a 1-hour session in the sea with minimal instruction beforehand) Free drinking water really is a unsung bonus. Daily cleaning of room was unexpected but nice to return to. The room we were given was modest in size for 2 adults and 2 children but the amount of space outside of it meant that there were plenty of areas to relax away from one another! A great territory for kids - cockerels, a friendly dog and iguanas roam about freely. There are lovely places over the road which are on the sea which have diving boards / slides / big inflatables which, at 5k per person per day, is a nice way to spend the day. A laidback manager was also really appreciated - want to swim at 10pm or 6am - fine, just be quiet. Wash up your dishes and leave the common spaces as you found them and you'll have an enjoyable stay.

An oasis of calm and gorgeous gardens in the overly busy San Andres. Met the owner (from the U.S.) and he told us it was 30 acres. We spent an entire morning walking around looking at all the unique plants, trees and birds on the property. We drove around the entire island (nearly twice) and this was by far the nicest hotel and property. The room was lovely, with lots of windows looking out at the stunning flowering trees, quiet and private with a wrap-around deck and hammock, and big interesting bathroom. Solar panels on roof, hot water in shower. Finally room for our suitcases, and a safe for valuables. Really liked in-room fridge stocked with white and red wine, beer, pop, water and snacks. What you used was added on at end. Made it easy to enjoy a glass of wine on the deck, at sunset, while relaxing. Wonderful, attentive and helpful staff eager to please - from concierge who greeted us at the airport (Johann) who was willing to organize anything for us including a side-by-side rental, the driver, front desk staff, restaurant manager, chef, cleaning staff, and owner himself, who happened to arrive while we were there. Personalized service extraordinaire. As the island was too busy for our liking, we spent a lot of time relaxing by the lovely quiet pool, reading, watching the birds. Sunset visible right from the hotel, ocean edge right across the road. Felt very safe, discreet fencing all around.

We arrived at Casa de las Flores last minute, because we missed our plane for Providencia. Casa de las Flores was a good choice on San Andres island. It is a bit further away from the city center, but you can easily get there (20 min drive). It is nice & calm and we had our "private" beach in front of the house! Nice swimming pool. We paid extra to have a double room with sea view; but this was worth it. The owner speaks French and gave us lots of tips to visit the island.

Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, excellent food, and friendly service. The location was perfect for Scuba, exploring the island by walking, cycling and with a “buggy” . The family running the place have kept it in very good condition. They also helped us to sort out any problems.

They let us check in earlier, was very clean, air conditioner, perfect location (believe me, you don’t want to stay direct on the beach because it’s loud). I got sick at night and they told me where to get medicine and offered me water and were worried. I’m glad they have 24 hours reception
