I was born in this city and came to visit after many years of living overseas. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to experience the city, but particularly to foreigners. The location is superb and well priced for what's on offer; but the main hook of this place is the BREAKFAST BUFFET! Absolutely delicious and AUTHENTIC food that reminded me of what my mother would make when I was a kid. Please try the soup every single day and don't be afraid to ask about the toppings for it (onion,parsley/coriander,toasted bread bits,arepa,etc.) so you can experience the meal as a Colombian would. If you stay here, the INCLUDED breakfast will be an opportunity to explore local cuisine and that's a huge plus in my books.

Location felt safe and checking in and out was no hassle. I arrived early and was assigned my room. Hotel security were helpful and on point. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The hotel itself, althogh not the most modern, did possess a sense of grandeur. All staff were friendly. Parking was close but offsite and there was always security to accompany you. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of local and international dishes. There a 3 restaurants on site on case you wish to dine in. There's a gym, sauna, spa....The Hotel is close to many malls, shops, transport. Overall, this Hotel I would definitely recommend.

Our stay in this family hotel consisted of two stretches of 4 days. Both stays were equally pleasant, with clean and spacious rooms that however will need some updating in the nearby future. An issue with the availability of an in-room safe was dealt with swift and professional, just like the attitude of the entire staff was swift and professional during our entire stay. It took some time to reveal the mystery of the hot showers,but their presence was much appreciated and enjoyed.

This is a brand new hotel, it opened in early 2025. The WiFi is fast, the rooms are clean, the shower has great pressure, and the breakfast is good. The bed is comfy, and the AC works well. My room had a desk I could work at, but they also have a small conference room/breakfast area you can use. It's new, small, and low-key. I like it.

Bucaramanga and, in particular, Ruitoque, is a fantastic place! The location, the vegetation, the new developments, and the great clinics and medical centers make it an extremely great place to retire. But there is little respect for seniors. Shopping centers and restaurants have extremely noisy environments. We visited several good friends in their homes and had a wonderful time with them. But the public places we visited were torturous due to the extremely loud environments.

Disorganized city without decent transportation system after...

Disorganized city without decent transportation system after collapse of local tranportation company due to corruption and local infighting within the municipal and departmental administration. Traffic is a disaster at all time due to badly located (and unused) bike lanes, a bad decision by previous (I was told "corrupt") mayor (Rod. H.).

After our experience in other Colombian cities, we found that drivers in Bucaramanga used their horns much more aggressively. Traffic noise was generally higher than in other city centers we have stayed in (Bogota, Manizales, Medellin, Cartegena, and Santa Marta). Bucaramanga has a very pleasant climate and there is plenty to do. There are many nice parks, and the view from the top of Santisimo cablecar was lovely, especially at sunset.

Quiet and safe city with a lot of cultural food, beautiful parks and some nice shopping centers with food courts. Not too touristy and a good middle size of the city. Comuna 14 tour, coffee visiting and tasting.

The shower had more than enough pressure, which in our fifth hotel of the trip was the first time so much appreciated. The beds were comfortable, and the room and balcony were spacious and clean as well. Breakfast is also really nice.
